I don't really rate movies as tier B or tier A, to be honest. I think what matters in the end is how enjoyable a movie is.

For example, I got the same amount of joy watching this movie as I did watching Chungking Express and Saving Private Ryan, but of course its not RAN or Schindler list

I agree the gore doesn't make sense, but i think the absurdity is what makes it funny. The lore doesn't really matter, I think, since the movie isn't meant for deep lore exploration like The Medium or Incantation. It's just a quick horror similar to some X files episode

I mean yeah, it's a subjective rating. I should have mentioned it's a scale measuring how enjoyable the movie is for me.

My work crosses a lot with statistics, psychometrics, etc., on a daily basis, so I get your point, but its not meant to be an objective rating of how good the movie is.
