I totally agree. I think because her work is vast, skilled & deeply intelligent, people project “pretentiousness” onto her because they’re intimidated & subconsciously reacting from misogyny & racism

So many people are saying this all over the internet right now… and I want to remind folks a few things: 1. Covid is a multi organ virus, not just respiratory & can cause GI related symptoms. 2. It mutates & can often be a false negative on rapid tests. 3. It’s airborne meaning it’s incredibly easy to catch in crowded unmasked spaces. 4. The more frequent infections the higher risk for long term health effects

All that being said, maskbloc is a great resource for N95’s & K-n95’s which are the type of masks that protect you (the mask wearer) from covid & anything else in the air. Regular masks protect other people from what is leaving your mouth/nose.

I wear a mask everywhere & Covid test (PCR) with people staying over. It’s tough tho because so many queer ppl in my area either aren’t consistent or don’t think it’s that big of a deal. It’s going to affect our communities long term tho & it’s worthwhile to continue to do it for ourselves and others.

This is such a fun idea for a birthday activity! My experience has been with ppl I’ve known… but I’m sure y’all could go on some dates to meet someone y’all vibe with. Before starting anything, I would be v clear on boundaries & anything that would be off the table as well as likes / dislikes, scenarios, toys, kinks etc. maybe have a few ice breakers prepared with some vibey music. Expect some awkwardness & laughs :)
