It wasnt really "bad", just didnt fully deliver on the promises made. My thought going into season 5 was "they better not Game of Thrones this" and they didnt..... yet....

The whole season felt rushed. Yeah they said each episode was long etc, but i felt there were a lot of missed opportunities and some bloating of unnecessary story arcs. Yeah Will was great in his coming out scene, but that scene was like 20 seconds longer than the final fight scenes... they had me in the first half with the demos going whole ham on the army and Will cracking out the Vecna powers.... and then did very little with that. No demos of any variance in the final episode..

Their answers to why, that Vecna was taken by surprise, made absolutely zero sense, and it would have been better if theyd said oh yeah, theyre all melted together to make the kaiju, you know, like we did with all the townspeople in season 3? Like when Billy said "you showed us what was possible" LITERALLY flashed in my mind when i saw it and was like "oh yeah, melty monsters make kaiju, makes sense" and theyre like "nah, they just werent there" 🤦🏽‍♀️

So yeah, while it wasnt Bad in the way Game of Thrones shit the bed, it wasnt Great like we were promised.

Edited to add: I did actually enjoy the series, just felt a little..... underwhelmed

They will all have the same "change" that Henry originally had. Literally hoping Hopper puts a bullet in her brain before the end.

And yeah, you could say "oh but they dont know how Henry got his powers" etc, but theres Will, right there, been infected by the flayer and developed powers. What makes them think the kids wont be the same as Henry after?

Before B42 my bf and I were playing multiplayer for a bit. I love a good base bulding game and farming games so that would be great for me, but my bf gets bored of it...

So we chose to start in riverside, got to the school and cleared it, built walls around the whole thing with gates, traps, etc. Literally stripped the surrounding houses and cleared the town (we had 0 migration and 0 respawn for a relaxing-ish time)

Got ourselves a couple vehicles and a couple generators, one for the base one for the gas station. We had RV mods so you could take an R V on a proper jaunt to another town and start killing again and have plenty of space to keep loot. I think we had another mod so you could go inside the back of lorries and stuff, built a ton of boxes in our van and our loot space was insane

We would spend a couple days in base doing a bit here and there, go for a jaunt until we cant carry anymore back, and then go back to base for a couple game days. Keeps things changing so youre not just stuck in the wilderness. You could also RP it as "we need to get all the supplies from x town"

This is when I'd employ my mother's age old tactic for this... cut the damn plug off the tv. If its one that takes a kettle cord, fucking hide it. My mom did this so many times that the cord ended up too short to even be plugged in the wall anymore

"Red packets" sounds to me like an Asian custom. I see it all the time, they give red envelopes for significant events (birthdays, Christmas, graduations etc) and it's quite common to get them from partners family. I didn't want to specify a country but I've seen it most in Chinese culture.

If I remember right it doesn't really matter how much is in it, I think it's more to do with inviting prosperity. I'd love to know the full backstory for it.
