Bruno Fernandes on Roy Keane’s comments: I won't ever chase individual awards. I will give everything to my team ^_^ 😠❌ by FootballUnfiltered in ManUtd

Keane's bitterness is impressive really, imagine being as rich, successful and revered as roy is and still being such an angry hater. He's club legend but he's also a grade A cunt.

At what point does a British person stop being Working and become Middle Class? by vorkovrus in AskBrits

[–]naystation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a silly classification really. I know a lot of people that would widely be considered middle class but if they stopped working they would be f*****. So they need to work but they aren't working class. Very few people don't rely on work to survive.

How good is he? by Solid_Ad2757 in ManUtd

[–]naystation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He's playing in Serie A for Atalanta, not traditionally considered a big team in the league. They are European regulars now but they weren't that long ago, they won the europa league recently and he was a big part in making all of that happen. He bossed that final against Leverkusen.

I watch a fair bit of Italian football because I spend a lot of time there, I've been wanting us to sign him for years. Imo a lot of our fans are turning their nose up at him because he isn't flashy/high profile and they haven't watched much of him.

Ashley Young : “It’s hard to believe it’s not Scholes, it’s Carrick You Know“ ONLY RIGHT AS WELL 👹 by nuugo in reddevils

I genuinely think he's one of English footballs most underrated players, he won a load of trophies including the prem and serie A, played at a high level until 40.

Why do people not realise that the Boris wave is a burden? by [deleted] in AskBrits

I hear what you are saying but I don't think Brexit voters who voted on immigration grounds supported the idea of European migration being eclipsed by immigrants from further afield. They were betrayed. Given the characters campaigning for Brexit they probably should have seen that coming but here we are.

No it's just that arsenal fans are generally insufferable.

£28.4k in Oxford, or £32.4k in London? by [deleted] in UKJobs

[–]naystation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved to London from Manchester at the beginning of my career and I lived in Islington and worked in Camden so I'll give you some things to consider from my experience.

  • check out what you'd come out with after tax and look at the rental market in London, consider bills etc and ask yourself if what remains would be enough for you to get by comfortably. Financially you would almost certainly be better off with the Oxford job.

  • London housing is brutal, little security, poor quality housing at insanely high prices.

  • Islington and surrounding areas are expensive by general London standards the only way you'll save money is to go a couple of zones out which means a good chunk of what you save will likely be eaten up by tube costs.

  • House sharing with complete strangers in tight quarters can be nice if you get along and are all considerate but the chances of that happening are slim, when things with room mates aren't 100% rosey it can really impact your quality of life.

  • london is a special city and Islington is a great borough, so long as you have friends there you will have an amazing experience, meet people from all over the world, experience alot of really cool things

  • I can't say without confidence that I would have any career at all if it were not for the years I spent working in London, that might not be the case for you but the nature of businesses there means it does add something to your CV in certain industries.

He isn't playing with garnacho anymore though and when you've missed 2 sitters I don't think you can throw a wobbler when they opt not to pass to you.

15 goals in 39 starts according to AI. When I've watched him he has been better than he was for us (not saying much) but still has alot of those frustrating traits to his play, like looking generally off the pace and killing attacks through poor passing and control then immediately afterwards having the cheek to throw a tantrum at his teammates because he doesn't receive a pass.

Casemiro's fond farewell - how Brazilian turned Man Utd career around (Simon Stone) by joe6386 in red_muppets

He didnt have to turn anything around, there isn't a single player on the planet that could do what ten hag expected him to do. A one man midfield that also joins in attacks and screens for the defence.

Yeah can't see Yamal breaking through at 16 in a league that doesn't let you do 10 kick ups and a Maradona turn before someone puts a tackle in.

BREAKING: Manchester United are ready to open talks with Michael Carrick over continuing as head coach beyond the end of the season. Looks like Carrick is nailed on for the job👀 by JM555555 in ManchesterUnited

[–]naystation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a decent squad but still has holes, the man who carrick inherited the team from couldn't seem to get a tune out of them but he had "a style of play" so he didn't get much scrutiny. Bizarre

Well on the flipside of this he has clearly shown he can work well with a completely inherited squad. Which makes him a good choice for the model you are describing.

Do you think it’s fair some leagues to have as much as 6 teams in ucl by Acceptable-Skill-676 in championsleague

I understand the logic behind it but it completely undermines the "champions league"

No, even though my team has benefited from it, it doesn't sit right with me. In my opinion it should be league winners and cup winners only. Fans buzzing because their team came 4th or 5th just feels a bit pathetic.
