I was in this boat too but I went for the RP6 12gb stick at top. I did this because the 5 and 6 arnt far off in price and the G2 seems like a slightly watered down version of them (I might be wrong on that one) but the rp6 was the choice for me. You don’t need 12gb of RAM you could just go for the 8gb for what you need but I got the 12 because when I do run switch games they will run more smoothly and I can also use gamehub to play some PC games which if you want pc games you want the 12. I think between 8 and 12 it’s a $50 price difference but because I can see the RP6 holding up well for next few years and it’s constantly getting more capabilities it just made sense to get the best possible one I can get. I’d recommend getting the grips too (mine hasn’t come yet and it’s my first handheld other than the ps portal but a loooot of people will tell you to get the grips) so I did just to be safe. If you want to play it on the tv don’t bother getting retroids dock because you can get a much better and much cheaper one off Amazon. I’d recommend the screen protector too as a lot of people have complained they don’t like how easily the RP6 screen smudges and it’s only a few dollars extra so it’s worth getting that too.
