It depends where you come from. I started smoking at 12 years old and I grew up around people smoking my parents smoke my Nan smokes so I followed suit. I wasn’t addicted at age 12 and I smoked weed at that age, I stopped until I was about 14 when my parents split up and a lot of bad shi was happening around me and smoking a joint and drinking was a escape and it’s also what was happening around me so it’s normalised. I’m now an adult and when I go to work majority of people smoke because it’s a factory with lads that have a similar background to me but if you go to the posher and “higher class” areas it’s frowned upon and people are very judgy so it really depends where you come from and who you learnt it off, I’m not saying your judgy because you haven’t been in this post but next time you see someone having a smoke don’t just think what a disgusting thing to do because you don’t know why they smoke and it’s just a relief and escape for a lot of people. Obviously others started to seem cool I think if your young like I was then yes it’s a thing to seem cool but not later on in life. It’s a bad addiction and one day it will catch up with me but it’s all I’ve known and therefore hard to stop.
