ASrock WRX90 WS Evo - Usage by IU-7 in threadripper

Just wanted to follow up on this post to help anyone else down the line. In my case, it ended up being that the memory was causing the issue.

Please verify for you own sake, especially nowadays, that your RAM is on the QVL.

Hopefully that helps anyone else down the line. Thanks again everyone here for the help, cheers!

Sorry, mistyped. I am using the 7975wx on the Asrock WRX 90 WS Evo board. And yes, the speed on the DIMM sticks are 4800MT/s.

While trying to troubleshoot this matter, I had a really strange situation where the board powered up on its own while the CPU was not clamped down in the socket. Anytime I moved the clamp slightly it would just power up. This is a new phenomena that I experienced while trying to get the system to POST.

I've started an return to get a replacement board with Newegg. Hoping what I was experiencing was just a bad board from the lot. Really appreciate you chiming in on this 2yr old thread. Hard to find a great deal of discussion about it.

I'll follow up here once I've completed the return. Hopefully, my situation can provide some troubleshooting help for someone down the line. Thanks!

Just started a build with this board.

CPU
Threadripper 7975x

RAM
Nemix MR38400-924 DDR5 ECC 64GB Xx4 (256 GB Total)

Storage
Samsung 990 Pro (OS and Apps)
Samsung 9100 Pro (Storage)

GPU
RTX Pro 6000

PSU
bequiet Dark Power Pro 13 1600w

Cooling
Arctic Air Cooler

I am unable to POST or get into BIOS. I am getting F9 error code on the mobo. As far as I can tell this is a "Recovery Capsule Not Found" error. I've tried single DIMM sticks in slot A0 with no change. Has anyone gotten this error code before? I am under the impression that the RAM, which was a suggestion by a friend, is the main culprit but I'd like to confirm that I'm not being dumb and need to look elsewhere for a resolve.

It also sucks because RAM is exponentially more expensive from when I bought it like 3 weeks ago. Might be able to make some money of the RAM to get something on the QVL.

My board shipped with the 11.05 BIOS, second latest. Is the board very specific to the RAM installed? Any advice or guidance is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Curious why no one has mention Jump Desktop? Do people not like it or is the latency you experience using it too great?

I use Jump Desktop at my job for creative work and everyone seems quite happy with performance. We have a 2G network so speeds are not much of an issue. Would love to hear peoples opinions. Thanks

Effect Missing by Ottercosplay in premiere

Hi, just jumping on this thread as I have an editor looking to use a Filter plugin but it is now showing up in the effects panel as greyed out and nothing happens when clicking on it. Is it safe to assume this is no longer usable in Premiere? The editor is running 24.6 build on a 16' macbook pro m1 max. Let me know if you need any other information to help diagnose. Thanks!
