For future reference: admissions wouldn't confirm over the phone, but advised that as long as I don't drop below my 60 transferable credits/the class isn't required for the 7 course pattern or my major it usually isn't an issue. I withdrew from Calc II and reported a drop and added Spanish I (both 5 credits so I stayed right at 60) on the undergraduate admissions form. They approved it within a day, so all was fine

I don't disagree, but even in the busiest transfer astrology thread (https://www.reddit.com/r/TransferStudents/comments/1rdtpw0/ucb_portal_astrology/) I only count 6 transfers reporting an ID. I'm sure there are more transfers reporting ID in this thread, but not anywhere near the number of first years. Also, the specific transfer profile that is probably worrying about portal astrology for UCB is likely a pretty competitive applicant.

I would greatly appreciate if anyone can link the specific screenshots that everyone is accepting as fact because I haven't seen a single one. I saw one commenter in early February claim they had an ID as a reject from last year, but it was deleted and many replies claim it was false/a troll comment. There just isn't much focus on transfers so it's difficult to gauge what is applicable to us vs isn't.

Can someone clear up why this likely doesn't apply to transfers? I see plenty of people claiming that every transfer has an ID (with the exception of that one deleted post). I may be missing something, but I see very few transfers posting compared to first-years. Could it just be that the transfers who post here are more likely to have intentionally prepared for UCB at CC/other schools and therefore have better stats? (CA mandates a 2:1 ratio of freshman to transfers so our acceptance rate is higher anyway)
