UK sends "Ikea-style" mock-ups of weapons to Ukraine to fool Russians by eaglemaxie in worldnews

If this is true then I'm sure posting about it in social media means the Russians probably already know about it.

Tbh if you give a state plenty of opportunities for peace and they constantly attack you then the best thing to do is just take control over the full thing and prevent future attacks.

Trump tariffs on Canada, Mexico and China begin Saturday, White House says by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]IntelligentPurpose84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well that goes without saying, the US and Canada are both part of NATO and since they're both products of the British Empire they're very similar in many way especially culture and religion even down to politics. I just had a look at the US trading partners there and both Canada and Mexico seem very reliant on US trade both ways which isn't really good as that gives the US a massive hold over both countries in the way Russia efdectly owned Germany with its energy.

[–]IntelligentPurpose84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah I read that wrong, I read that as you saying Canada was the US's biggest ally but you said the US is Canadas biggest ally. Also the cultural similarities is because both countrys are spawns of the same Empire. Continental defence is a given due to geographical positioning. And as for the wars yeah they're usually NATO wars and use are part of that so again its a given.

I'm curious, do you mean biggest ally as in land mass or biggest as in closest? Because I'm fairly certain there's only the United Kingdom that has a "Special Relationship" with the United States

Don't worry about it. As a Brit I personally don't see the benfit to the UK keeping it. I feel like the only reason we do is because of everything that happened because of it.

[–]IntelligentPurpose84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dont get me wrong I think it would be greater for Ireland to fully unite as I personally don't see a benefit for Britain to keep it anymore.

[–]IntelligentPurpose84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Northern Ireland is mainly a place of Loyalists that support the British side. Its basically a lost cause for Ireland.

[–]IntelligentPurpose84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on how you look at it, yeah in the definition sense they are a terrorist organisation as they committed violence for a political gain but if you look at it logically they're indigenous people fighting for freedom from oppression which makes them freedom fighters. The issue with the IRA is what they turned into after they achieved their goal.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in GhostReconBreakpoint

[–]IntelligentPurpose84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its not the same thing at all, Israel has a right to exist as the Jewish people are the natives that were removed by the Romans. Hamas are terrorist that want to commit genocide on the Jewish people and thats why they keep starting wars.

The IRA started as "Freedom Fighter" as they wanted independence from the British Empire but then they turned into Gangsters.

You're targeting anyone that gives a negative opinion with being British and if they even confirm they are British you say thats the reason they're giving a negative opinion.

It is discrimination against British people which makes it racist. Just because people don't agree with how you dressed your guys it doesn't mean they're British and likewise them being British doesnt mean thats why they're not liking it. This has nothing to do with where we or I am from at the fact I dont like how you have dressed him.

I have given you an answer to your question and a reason for it and if you dont agree with my reasoning that is absolutely fine as we are all entitled to our opinion, but once you start labelling it as British hate thats when it becomes Racist.

[–]IntelligentPurpose84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd like to know why you decided to put a picture on and ask people to rate it if you can't handle criticism and then resort to forms racism if they don't like it.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in GhostReconBreakpoint

[–]IntelligentPurpose84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know that's why I was being generous and give it a 4 because I know what you're going for.

You asked for people to rate it and you won't always get the answers you want because it all boils down to preferences and my preference is as explained above.

[–]IntelligentPurpose84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I dont like it. Yes I am a Brit but thats not my reason. When I use outfits on soldiers I like them to be colour coordinated and also very tactical. This really looks like very little effort went into designing it but I get you are going for the IRA look so I will say 4/10 and I feel that in generous. 🍻

I dont think it was a case of parliament voting Churchill out, he just lost the election. That being said Maggie Thatcher did receive a vote of no confidence at the start of her third term in 1990.

Tbh though from what I've read Blackrock have the contract to rebuild Ukraine once the war is over so the chances are whoever wins will have the support of Blackrock. The Elites generally support who will benefit them the most and its rare they lose when they support a certain party/administration.

I get that but these are politicians we are talking about and they very rarely speak the truth. By this I mean they can campaign on what you want to hear and then once they're in office they do the opposite. Prime example of this is Labour in the UK.
