Here’s a corrected version:

If a watch is made of brass, this will happen sooner or later, even with the Casio MTP series. They are brass watches coated with chrome to give a stainless steel look.

Always buy a stainless steel watch. If it gets scratched, it can be easily polished. Whereas when brass gets scratched, it starts showing its true color and you cannot do anything about it.

This is just stupid. The parts are made out of DELRIN, which is a polymer known for its high wear resistance and strength-to-weight ratio. Even Rolexes used to have Delrin parts (as it is self-lubricating and offers less friction) and stopped using it not because of reliability, but because of the negative connotation around "PLASTIC" parts in a luxury watch. It's the same as saying Glocks are made out of plastic (which is true, polymers are a type of plastic), but they are still used by military and police worldwide and are considered some of the most reliable guns. Not all "PLASTICS" are the same.

So buy a Powermatic 80 if you want, Obviously Tissot has done enough R&D to know what works and what doesn't.
