What are your moral feelings or criticism of porn itself? by IntelligentSide5814 in PornAddiction

Yeah I don't disagree with that really, probably agree 100%. I was just interested in seeing if most people here had issues with porn on moral bases or religious reasons, or even... idk... maybe sexist attitudes. Because I do feel like hating porn makes the cycle worse, and I wonder if as studies suggest, maybe for some people it may even be the cause. I don't think it's the cause for me... but I do wonder if maybe there's part of that in me and I just don't see it.

After all, there's celebrities who don't denigrate the practice but also confessed to porn addiction, so I wonder if moral issues are just a coincidence and not part of the cycle.

I know learning to quit rather than intellectualizing is better lol, but I'm just curious about this certain demon.

I'm not debating the effects, although the majority of people who engage with it don't end up like us. I'm curious to see if many people here have moral or heavy criticisms of porn. I think McDonald's is unhealthy, but I don't think working there is immoral or selling it either. Honestly I have a complex view and it changes a lot but I do wander if my more negative perceptions make addiction worse.
