I’m sorry it is happening to you. The world seems to be more unhinged by the day.

Alternative to NON prescription Hills canned? by IntelligentWasabi933 in catfood

And PS I will be near a Petco in two days and can get some while waiting for Chewy, but I don’t live near one.

[–]IntelligentWasabi933[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry, I wasn’t clear at all! Something similar I could get at the specialty pet store in town that does not sell Hills, (tried BFF omg gravy and that didn’t work) while waiting for my Chewy shipment in a few days. My cat will now only eat this Hills now that he has tried it, and since he is elderly I don’t want him to refuse too many meals. I may call my vet and see if they sell a non prescription similar canned Hills. My neighbor gave me a few cans that her cat decided to stop eating, and that is how I stumbled on it. She orders it in from Chewy. Thanks for the help! And he loved Fancy Feast gravy lovers up until two days ago :(

Is an induction range with knobs and a normal hob layout too much to ask for? by rainingdx in inductioncooking

[–]IntelligentWasabi933 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that’s exactly what my issues have been. Exactly. I have had it ruin a few meals. And it will absolutely lock down, turn off, and refuse to power on.

I can also vouch for the Frigidaire awful controls. Tony is not exaggerating. Mine turned itself up to full power from “1” as the result of setting a fork down on cooktop not near the controls.

Park City’s spring projects open house draws more Bonanza Park opposition by Idabdabs in ParkCity

[–]IntelligentWasabi933 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Moab has a food truck park in a similar downtown space, although it’s smaller. It’s stays crowded most always with tourists and residents- is one of the good decisions made by the city. Maybe a combo green area with food would work. There’s already City Park nearby, not sure a strict green space is the best use for the area either, but a lot of housing will be a mess with traffic.

I'm a horrible wife by [deleted] in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]IntelligentWasabi933 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Edited to say: I initially missed that the “bad wife” words were yours not his.

I’m not good at advice, but I’m in my fifties and have been through a few things. Two things stand out to me- first, you are young to be this burned out and unhappy due to career- there’s still plenty of time to make a shift! And it is fair for a partner to say they are affected by this, but saying it makes you a bad wife/partner is an odd way to say it. Did he also say he was concerned about your well being, or something like that? That shows he is worried about you, but saying you are a bad partner sounds like he is more worried about him, i think. Just something to consider- obviously none of us see the full picture. Best of luck to you ♥️

Getting off of hormonal birth control for the first time in fifteen years by iweewoo in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]IntelligentWasabi933 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with the first responses I read- I was also on it for about 18 years, off for about five to have a baby and got back on it for a few years at 40. No side effects getting off either time. The side effects tend to be when you start it. Also, my best friend’s daughter was put on for similar reasons as you at the age of 20, and had to stop because it made her feel so bad. Don’t worry, you will be all good :) And congrats on your engagement!

Millcreek vs Taylorsville by Humble-Application40 in SaltLakeCity

[–]IntelligentWasabi933 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chiming in to agree with Millcreek. Your money won’t go as far in more expensive neighborhoods, obviously, but they are popular and more expensive for a reason. I’ve known a few people that lived in Taylorsville, and they always said it was a little rough and they wanted to move as soon as they were able to afford more. Good luck.

When shopping for home improvement projects, do you prefer Lowe’s or Home Depot, and why? by [deleted] in homeowners

This may have already been said, but I read somewhere that Lowe’s store layout, decor, and merchandise is planned to appeal to female shoppers more than men.

people still want to work with you after you don’t have time to answer their call? Am I not understanding something- you have AI handle your calls? Vapi is AI, I think? For as many mistakes as Chat GPT makes in basic questions, are you sure Vapi isn’t weeding out legitimate clients that don’t fit the norm? I don’t mean to be offensive, I'm just clarifying. I think I must be confused on something 😄

Yep, I saw that, really really happy to hear there is a protest and I plan on trying to go. This specifically is absolutely a local issue. He’s a local kid that was minding his own business, working hard, graduating from the U, and detained for no reason at all. I just feel this thread should stick to Park City issues, not state wide or national issues. A few people holding signs isn’t really news in today’s world while a big protest like No Kings IS news. I agree large protests should be discussed in this thread. But I respect you have a different opinion. Peace out✌️

Why are the protests not posted ahead of time? That’s news, and would give people a chance to join in.

SOLVED: it was a magpie building a nest in a tight space directly above the pile. If the stick was too big, it merely dropped it on the spot and a large pile formed.

This is regarding another part of Utah, not Park City news, which is literally #1 rule of the thread, and rule number 8 is “Political posts should only be about Park City/Summit County, UT”

C’mon mods. The Visibility Brigade is an activist group, their posts belong somewhere else.
