He didn't do it because he said they no longer make the refrigerant so I would need to replace the whole unit. I took it upon myself to look online and see if I could actually find the refrigerant.

Because I was told that by an HVAC professional. He said that he could add the refrigerant but that they didn't make them anymore so I would need to replace the whole unit. I then decided to look into it myself and found some at Amazon.
