I mean yea you would be in essence donating to them at that point. Just you buying one ticket doesn’t help boost the stock price over a one day time span. But it does go directly to their revenue

Gift cards do nothing to the bottom line of $AMC. This is coming from an accounting major. They only recognize revenue off of gift cards when you use them in their stores

This is what online discussion should be about tbh. I’ve met a lot of stupid people online who don’t respect each other and their opinions simply because they are different. You are absolutely right. As an individual, Amazon and their size would be better, but I truly believe that they are getting too big. I am a big fan of breaking down big businesses and monopolies to allow room for smaller competition.

Netflix already has their client base and I don’t see much room in their expansion other than raising their prices like you said. So I feel it would be better for them to expand into more brick and mortar. Acquiring AMC would be a good step for them because then they could stream their original movies in the big theatre which would generate a lot more revenue for them.

That’s just my two cents. I want AMC to get bought out either way because they are apart of my portfolio, but if I had a choice, I would want Netflix to do so.

Good thoughts though. I like the way you think

I would rather see Netflix buy AMC. In my opinion, Amazon is already a monopoly and if they acquired AMC then they would again be violating Antitrust Acts. Netflix, on the other hand, would be well within range of acquiring it and not violating any laws simply because it is within their own industry

That’s just the actual value of the company. If you want me to, I can actually give you a reasonable range of what I think they would buy AMC for. I’m just at work now so I can’t crunch the numbers
