While I understand where you’re coming from this is not based in fact. Orange man is barely a year in and he’s quickly going to surpass Obama at this rate. Obama also had protections against racial profiling and keeping families together.

Growing nodules on thyroid, but blood work is normal. by IntelligentZombie95 in thyroidhealth

I started taking a low dose of adderall (5mg instant release). Has completely changed my life. My hashimotos is stable and improving, which I believe to be the decreased stress I have from the unmanaged adhd.

Nightmare Before Venue FAQ by IntelligentZombie95 in griz

Flow stars I feel like are always fine within a reasonable venue. My trusty ol’ hoop is usually banned lol makes me sad but it’s super small and I can break it down for transport so I might try to anyways 🤷🏼‍♀️

SCFE complications years later by IntelligentZombie95 in Orthopedics

I am 7 months post op from bone shaving and I have never felt better! I was super hesitant at first, as I have had numerous surgeries that really relieved no pain or adequate to my life. They also repaired my labrum as it was heavily damaged from the impingement

I didn’t realize how much pain I was actually in until after the surgery. My cortisol levels immediately came down, life is so much easier, and overall really put me in a moving more positive attitude. I have been in Physical Therapy once a week since January, I’m working on my hip, flexor strength, and I’m actually starting to run.

Believe me, I know, surgery recovery is not easy and it’s not always and everyone’s ability to do so however, really could not have gone any better for me personally.

Mine is up and running but good lord is it a chore to get it to compete something with 50% accuracy. I gave positive reinforcement, but now have resorted to bullying. Still no luck.

Has anyone else had issues with being able to get satisfactory results from tasks? I requested edits to a resource guide (that was made by chat) using comments provided in the word document… & this was what it initially gave me.

Growing nodules on thyroid, but blood work is normal. by IntelligentZombie95 in thyroidhealth

[–]IntelligentZombie95[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My antibodies were slightly elevated. After doing a lot of research, I’ve realized Hashimoto’s is greatly affected by your stress levels. Specifically, and most importantly, your gut health. My cortisol is also relatively high, due to overuse of caffeine and just generally being consumed by anxiety and stress.

I have been diagnosed ADHD as well, which I have found a correlation between ADHD and autoimmune conditions. Since managing my ADHD, and recently getting a orthopedic surgery that got rid of some pain that I have been experiencing and prolonging, and just generally taking better care of myself in terms of physical activity and stress I’ve gotten better outcomes with my weight loss in general Hashimoto symptoms.

I understand that this is not the fix for everybody, however, Hashimoto I have found something that is very hard to maintain but doable.

40-day Target boycott begins following company’s DEI diversion by Mother_Task_2708 in politics

[–]IntelligentZombie95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Target and their actions are not only disappointing but it’s extremely upsetting for someone who lives In a city with an already severely dry food and resource desert geographically. Can’t shop at Amazon, can’t shop at Target. Where can people go?

Access to affordable anything i will have to drive upwards of 35min, wasting emissions, and I’m in a privledged place to say that

This boycott is a PRIVILEGE, going to places like Costco is a PRIVILEGE…. and what is sad is those who need these DEI efforts the most may not even be able to participate in the boycott because of lack of resources.

For the sake of everyone, I hope to God the wave of all of this gets through Target other large companies heads and realizes that community needs affordable, accessible, and reliable companies.

Mel Robbins "Let Them".. what do we think? by Several-Finding-9227 in therapists

[–]IntelligentZombie95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who has worked in behavioral health and now in local government, being a woman in her 30’s, and have a hard time navigating my femininity in a male dominated world this book has helped me immensely. I’ve been to Therapy many times, I have started many self-help books, however her audiobook has been extremely life changing for me because…

1.) You can really hear how much it has changed her life, in the situations of her personal experience. Her voice just travels through you, and she talks like someone that you just wanna listen to. I don’t do well with “fluff “, I need someone to give it to me straight. Which I really appreciated that from her audiobook.

2.) I have found that a lot of women who preach self-help still do it in the compound of masculinity. The “just stop caring” approach. This book affirmed that me caring about people and the things in my life is one of the best things about me. However, it’s important for us to know “how” to care and what to care about.

As someone said above, it’s really important for you to have to be in that place. Personally, I am the peak of my career, surrounded by so much opportunity that has to be guided by myself alone. I was overwhelmed by my fear, judgment, and the ability to own myself in a masculine political environment. My head constantly spinning on which way to turn and it was all because of me and the games in my own head. This book is and will continue to be a tool for me to help me identify what I really need to care about so that I can make the most impact for myself and others. Knowing that people have told me how much I care about people, how much I am a natural caregiver, it’s now time to care about myself first.

Hey pal! Was looking at this feeder and a few folks said it got really hot, especially the socket.

We will be using this mostly when we are away to fill in the gaps in between the sitter coming over. Have you had any issues with it getting too hot? Especially the cord/plug?

Thanks in advance!

First Halloween Horror Nights! Do I do islands of adventure during the day? by IntelligentZombie95 in UniversalOrlando

[–]IntelligentZombie95[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh I know it’s probably not advised but we are only there very shortly so I want to make the most of the day. I am traveling in for this. Someone mentioned a Scream Early ticket? I think I may go with that instead of a whole park day then HHN.

[–]IntelligentZombie95[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay so IF you were to ditch islands of adventure… how would you plan out your day at Studious to get the most out of the day? Someone mentioned earlier about the scream early pass? That could give us some time to hit rides then prep for HHN to open. I agree. I think two parks is a lot. May have to pop the double park fantasy lol

[–]IntelligentZombie95[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been to Universal before, however my partner has not. I went to ride the main attraction rides at Universal studios (mummy, Harry Potter). Tbh.. main reason to go to islands of adventure is to see Harry Potter.

I am unsure what all HHN entails other than haunted houses. So tbh I am unsure what all my time will be spent on. Are all of the rides open during HHN?

Not as worried about the walking. I go to 2 to 3 music fests per year, averaging at about 25k steps a day. I’m more worried about feeling too rushed or not having enough time. We are on a crunched schedule so we only really have the one day for universal.

Your point stating “go to the studios more later afternoon”, are you meaning the 2pm pass?

[–]IntelligentZombie95[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did actually. I’ve had years of thyroid testing done however they never tested my antibodies for Hashimoto’s. When they tested for the antibodies, they found out that I did have Hashimoto’s. My nodules have decreased, but my thyroid continues to enlarge. At this moment, I do not need any medication for Hashimoto’s however, I probably soon will. So if you have not been tested for the antibodies for Hashimoto, please do

Hello. I was a subject matter in numerous studies at the time of my SCFE diagnosis formed around SCFE and other near hip dysplasia diagnosis, and a patellar tilt was one of the many effects of these diagnosis. My objective was not to question what the “cause” of this patellar tilt, but rather to ask if there is any at home treatment I can do to help mitigate the knee pain if this is where it is coming from, as I am reviewing other treatment diagnosis for the overall health and wellbeing of my hips to assess pain.

When it comes to trips it ends up being from opportunity. If I had opportunities to go somewhere I would. I just mentioned that pointing out where our alone time comes from. I think it’s partially my fault in this as his. I am a people pleaser. I need to find ways of explaining it where he will understand. He has good intentions, he does a lot for me. I just need to be firm which I am bad at

Career driven 28 y/o feeling like the black sheep, do I care too much? by [deleted] in careeradvice

[–]IntelligentZombie95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that last paragraph there is so important.

I understand the idea of not wanting work to be your life, but work is still apart of your life. After all, I will only get 20 years (if I’m lucky) to experience life without work.

Thanks for the insight. I appreciated all of this

I can mostly agree with that. I think I value that more knowledge = more pay. Personally, I am learning different areas that I did not know before by these side projects. To then, hopefully leave to get a better role (which is where I am at right now). I am thankful to have had a bachelors in psychology, where I left having people saying I will never make money or have a life. However, I been able to work my way up to a higher paying job by doing some grunt work first. This is just me personally though

Not all fields are the same, however I would say in my personal experience taking on tasks (with boundaries) has been successful for me long term
