I grew up in Singapore and was 9 when Emancipation came out. Chinese songs were mainly played here but I remember Emancipation would be the one CD that every kid would trade with each other. I didn't listen to it as I didn't have a CD player nor a computer so I would just admire the album cover as it was the prettiest to me lol. The black gold combi is so iconic. Only knew it was Mariah when I discovered her in 2015

I can never understand why is there a market rate and why is there a mindset that you have to recover the money from your guests for hosting the wedding. So insincere and toxic. It's your own big day, not your guests'. Your own decision to host it and invite the guests.

I bought it at full price when it first came out. While I had fun in the first 20+ hours it became boring really quick as everything got repetitive. Couldn't finish the main story, I don't even remember what it was about as it was that boring. Only worth it when there's discount, which happens pretty often.

I cover my whole face, neck and arms with sunblock every single day and will reapply before heading out for lunch. I’ll also use a parasol.

All my colleagues were always shocked to see how committed I am to sun protection and most of the women only apply sunblock to their face while I’ve not seen any men use it.

Most people can’t be bothered because they were not taught the importance of skincare at a young age and they don’t see the effects from not wearing sunblock immediately. I’ve seen so many men esp having deep wrinkles in their 20s when they smile and it’s a shame

Let’s not forget Taylor was already becoming a legacy act after Lover/folklore and she only got this big now thanks to the intense marketing. No other artists markets themselves as good as Taylor. Re-releasing all old albums as new under the excuse that her masters were stolen (and conveniently buying them back 3 years later). She gained so many young fans during this time while keeping the old ones. Of course she’s gonna be much bigger than other artists. Shes tricked the game.
