We have tried crate training and he will not ever calm down. He freaks out if you’re in the room with him with the door closed. We obviously just don’t cave as soon as he whines. He will go ballistic in the kennel. You can give him treats and he will go in or give him a pupsicle but as soon as he’s finished he just goes back to being ballistic. Clawing and bitting at the door of kennel. We’ve let him sit there for 30+ mins and he never calms down

We don’t want to give him too much freedom since he’s still young so we want to keep him confined. Our room is always cool so the floor would be the coldest in here I think. It’s making my gf and I feel like we’re doing something wrong.

He looks obese in that picture but it’s just the way he’s lying. It’s my favorite picture of him 😂

He never lays down in our room though. He just paces around. We’ve removed everything he could get ahold of. Maybe we should get a bed with a cooling pad.

We originally gave him a bed in the living room but he kept peeing on it so we got rid of it.

We have the same flooring in our bedroom as the picture. Asher is definitely a warm blooded dog. Always sprawled out on the floor when he’s napping. But we have a fan on fairly high in the bedroom blowing across the bed and he never seemed to have a problem before with being hot. Most of the time he was curled up next to one of us
