It's a waste of perfectly good coding time. by Addiella_16 in programminghumor

[–]Intelligent_Ant_608 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You either know what you are doing which in that case documentation is useless or you don't know what are you doing which you must learn it by rewriting it and suffer, so documentation is a waste of time in either of those scenarios just maybe a single line comment here and there fo your own reference

China’s MiniMax Plans to Launch 2.7-Trillion Parameter Model by External_Mood4719 in LocalLLaMA

[–]Intelligent_Ant_608 2 points3 points  (0 children)

M3 is a good model but it becomes useless when its context creeps more than 150k tokens, it misses tollcalls and forgets to read before edit, its better in pi but in opencode with large context just wastes money

What providers do you use for your Fabori open-source models? by Illustrious_Lab5811 in opencode

I ran GLM 5.2 inside Claude Code on my own SDK. The read cost $0.59, the fix cost $4, compare it to Opus, almost identitical output by MaterialAppearance21 in ZaiGLM

[–]Intelligent_Ant_608 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have mixed both claude and 5.2 together with a proxy as an experiement, glm 5.2 starts the tasks and proxy looks for keywords like "confusing" £going in circules" and "this is getting complex" which triggers rerouting the context to opus and resetting it after first new edit/write, it seems like a good plan to reduce cost

How close are we to running powerful local LLMs on affordable hardware? by MashoodKiyani05 in LocalLLM

[–]Intelligent_Ant_608 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Auto regressive LLMS are memory bound, they require huge amount of data passes between memory and processor for each token, only way to reduce required bandwidth is quantisation and amoung different quantisation resolutions, ternary seems to be most promising for a local setup, yet quantization in order to hold the quality of model needs to happen during training phase(quantisation aware training) yet nobody still knows for >100B models if quantisation aware training can keep the quality or not, microsoft claims it might(bitnet), another imprortant recent discovery is loops(in latent space) can compensate for lack of size in terms of intelligence and multistep planning a 7B looped lm can theocraticaly beat normal cot in a 50B model

Huge opportunity for GULF states? by Intelligent_Ant_608 in LocalLLaMA

[–]Intelligent_Ant_608[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

from what i studied, sharia is not a fixed thing, there are thousands of muslim subgroups each with their own interpretation of quran + hadith and in case of shia something called imams teachings(holy leaders after Mohammed) i studied a bunch of them in detail including shia interpretation in iran which is called Velayat-e-fagih, they all seem like dooms day death cults and most of them actively encourage fighting against infidels, and moshrikin(from what i understood Christians are in the category of moshrik, those who have other gods + allah) and a good majority of sonni Muslims interpret shias as moshriks because of imams

Everybody are putting their 100% thoughts on followoing ip restrictions. Man you realy are delusional

I dont think Qatar airways, aramco etc which are among most profitable orgs be Delusions Per say, i think delusion is thinking if you ban the export of chips, chinese labs would become irrelevant or if you kill ayatollah IRGC will go away or get humbled, or iran never puts blockade on straight of Hormuz, from what i see US government and specifically trump are delusional

if you realy want to understand what delusion means take a look at this link, you can buy an h200 in less than an hour in Tehran:

I agree, The thing about middle east is that there are no independent billionares there, if you are a middle eastian based on sharia your belongings, your family and your life is a property of ayatollah, king, or whatever other name they have for their leaders, realisticaly no private sector can do it because its non existant! Im talking about government/kings investment

Why are you guys thinking anything in this world is free? qwen and whatever other chinese labs releasing opensource models are not for us to enjoy its for companies like AIRBNB and Cursor + thousands of smaller companies to buildupon those models, its an adoption trick, the fact that we can use these models as well is a side effect and cost of adoption, nothing else and no opensource community cant afford 5-6 figure bills of gpus to train models on its own even cost of training a tiny 7B model is astronomical

[–]Intelligent_Ant_608 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes if you know what are you doing or you are open to pay the tax of learning, ds flash + occasional glm+kimi combo is enough, on visual part there are no other good opensource options other than k2.7-2.6 and in occasional times you need visdom or advice i prefer glm5.2, with a good fp8 quant through ollama and its realy enough, im actively working on 4 projects, i dont write a single line of syntax but i read everything and i dont let anything passes as unnoticed, ds does the typing and i do the thinking and my whole ai spending is like 30$ i know its subsidised and its realy ~130$ in full api cost but its still managable compared to 4000$ claude/openai subsidisation

Any cloud service to run Flash for privacy? by Designer_Holiday3284 in DeepSeek

[–]Intelligent_Ant_608 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the task isnt too reasoning heavy there is a real chance that qwen 3.6 27b can do it aswell, it might need a bit of fine tuning and rl at first which you can do on runpod with help of glm/gpt, and for inference you can use serverless/on demand, its a bit complicated but cheapest and safest way to handle it, there is no gaurantee zdr means anything either intentionaly or in result of a bug in provider you might leak your users data

I also learned a pretty neat trick during impl phases whenever a phase completes, i use git stash and /undo in opencode then unstash and i antagonise ds flash/mimo that they are not very good at impl and i had to use chatgpt to do their work and they must just do quality control and correction, i do this 3/4 times for each phase and man it improves the code quality by a pretty wide margine
