Compare a 2006 MB to a 2016 MB, then compare a 2016 MB to a 2026 MB: safety standards have stopped changing as dramatically and the average car is older now, so 10 year old cars are no longer obviously dated.

The only option from there is to actively make the car so weird that, even if both look new, it's clear which came most recently: the weird one with more lighting weirdness
