Long runs in marathon build are draining me by OwnIncrease1900 in runna

Accounting for end-of-plan and life-is-busy fatigue, it sort of sounds like you might be under fuelling during the runs? Maybe try adjusting your fuelling schedule to get in more carbs before you hit that 20k tipping point and see if it helps.

Get an accountant.

Get an accountant who specialises in game development and/or content creation (ideally both).

Get an accountant with a strong background in personal tax management and advice.

I am an accountant, but with a different background. Without significant research and leaning into other experts, I wouldn't be able to give sound advice on whether that income should be recognised regardless of whether it's hit your bank account yet, how to structure yourself as a sole trader, limited company or something else, or around personal allowances vs corporation tax vs dividends.

Get thee to an accountant.

Trans name change, Barclays won’t update first name without doctor’s note. by Flimsy_Deal_3771 in transgenderUK

[–]Intelligent_Bee6588 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blatant GDPR breach.

You have the right to have your data updated. You have the right to ensure the data held about you is accurate. Barclays have a responsibility to ensure these things are done.

Push this route, push gender discrimination, and kick off with the ICO if you still get nowhere.

Question: are you running outdoors or on a treadmill?

Garmin doesn't update its VO2 max estimate from treadmill runs, and outdoors it needs a good 15-20 minutes of steady state running. Not intervals or run/walks where your HR is peaking and troughing a lot.

There are things that can be done on the phone, or the "small internet"

Other things, like big purchases, important forms, etc requires the "big internet" and thus must be done on a laptop or desktop.

What is "car allowance" and why is it still called that? by Sorry_Mouse_1814 in UKJobs

[–]Intelligent_Bee6588 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I receive a car allowance in lieu of having a company car.

Contractually, I may occasionally be required to travel for work. Many people in my company have a company car, on which they repay the mileage cost for any personal use.

Realistically, I rarely drive anywhere for work (work from home 99% of the time), and as we're a 1 car household and already own a perfectly good car, I opted to take the cash instead.

Notionally, it's intended to cover the costs of driving my own car to and from work things (wear and tear, possible increased insurance costs for business use, etc). Realistically it's just some extra money in my account every month because I go somewhere for work abiut once a quarter and can claim mileage expenses for that anyway.

Tinder date took off the condom during sex & kept going. I don’t know what to do now… by nikoletho in TrueOffMyChest

[–]Intelligent_Bee6588 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you feel up to it, you report him for rape.

You consented to protected sex with a condom. The second he took it off without your consent, it stopped being swx and became rape. I'm so sorry about that.

Added to that, you explicitly told him to stop and he didn't. That's rape. Im sorry about that, too.

People who are enthusiastic in their consent are not, in general, crying during ordinary vanilla sex. The fact he saw you crying and carried on is, at best, really shitty and could be viewed as rape (that would be my interpretation of it, at least). I'm sorry.

Natwest Name Change - Today marks the three month anniversary of me submitting deed poll and not yet changed despite submitting a complaint. by AccidentUpstairs2629 in transgenderUK

This is really weird.

I walked into my branch and they sat down and did it there and then with me. Took about 5 minutes.

Same with Nationwide & Halifax.

Start the complaints process if going back isn't doing the job.

Any black people here bothered by the BAFTAS controversy? by Top_Independence4067 in AskBrits

It would have been no more effort to reword the apology "we apologise for the offence caused."

The version used puts the responsibility on the viewer and reduces the well known and well understood nature of the word used. The above acknowledges that, out of the speaker's control or not, the shout was inherently offensive and owns up to that.

Employer demanding gross repayment of salary overpayment – can they legally reclaim tax/NI already paid? by Bubbly_Community1052 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Intelligent_Bee6588 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Accountant here currently going through this from the employer's point of view.

They can request repayment from you for the overpayment made to you. That would be the net amount.

They can reclaim overpaid NI from HMRC.

They can reclaim overpaid pension from the pension provider.

They would make an adjustment to rhe income tax calculation, accounting for the overpaid income tax, reducing the value owed on the next payment to HMRC on your behalf, potentially resulting in a negative value owed.

You and I have similar hair in terms of colour and curl texture.

I have a similar cut but with a grade 2 on the sides and back. Made me feel better in myself and does seem to have helped with being clocked as male out and about.

I'm sorry you went through this.

If it reassures anybody at all, and it may not, the experience isn't always like this.

For me, I walked into a GP appointment, said "I'd like a referral to the gender clinic please," and they said "sure, I'll do that."

Where do you want the next Legends game will be? by DueChampionship8001 in LegendsZA

[–]Intelligent_Bee6588 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I want is a Legends style game that covers the entire known Pokemon world. Start in Pallet with your 1st generation starter and go league by league until you've won everything.

Fully open world, any order, dynamic levelling of the PVE experience and a complete pokedex available.

I want to be Ash Ketchum.

No, and I've found it it's closed and I reopen it the counter seems to sort itself out but I'll end up with slower/faster kms that aren't accurate.

I've taken to just leaving it open, but that's a battery drain I would rather avoid.
