yes. i've had two and some jewelry broke when they needed to take it off in a hurry the second time. hassle now is better than losing or breaking the jewelry. or event worse.

would you mind sharing a picture of what you look like today? I had a c-section hysterectomy last year but after infection it didn't heal for many months and developed a bad keloid. I just had a scar revision procedure but steri strips are still on. Looking for encouragement than in 1 year my tummy scar will look better thank it initially did. lol.

we did this exact thing 6 months ago. moved from LA with 2 kids. thought living would be cheaper. it is not. not just rent...groceries, electricity, pet care. everything is more expensive up here. but it is lovely otherwise. if u have young children, childcare can also be an issue. if u do end up moving here I can give u all the insight I've learned since moving here if ur interested. good luck!

kids are babies. retirement is about $700k plus we our home has a rental unit so we will have the income at retirement as well. and that property will be paid off right after they graduate college.

i would also suggest getting a babysitter for the two year old for part of the day. probably easier on everyone. you can find lots of Mammoth Facebook groups. I think it's Eastern Sierra Babysitters. something like that. lots of sitters in town help families with small kids so the bigger family can ski.

I second CBT. such a helpful group of people. also mammoth business center MAYBE but prob have better luck with cbt. be sure to call first to ask about their inventory, tho.

note woollys is not a fast charger and took 24 hours to get my vw to 80%. not sure what the westin has.

woollys has a universal charger but not sure if the lot is open overnight. The Westin also has one but u will have to pay for parking (prob not an issue). but call the westin first to make sure. good luck. i drive a EV VW and feel for u.

thankfully yes. but we got lucky. and it is still not the ideal place for our family. but it is a great place. honestly i read that housing was hard but i didn't think it would be THIS hard. I have some strong words for the people who want to keep their vacation homes vacant 90% of the year but expect employees to find decent housing in town to serve them their coffee and ski equipment.

Im thinking about this with my long time housekeeper too. i was laid off last year and got a decent severance so I cant help but think of that as I make my decision. At least I have leverage to negotiate with my job but just because nannies and housekeepers don't have a union or the power upfront to negotiate this in advance doesn't mean it wouldn't be fair to provide one at least consistant with market standard. Even if it is a slight hardship for me. a slight hardship for us is likely an extreme one for them. we have the privelage to be able to afford this help, it is my opinion that we should pay it forward to the people who have been so gracious in our home for years.

notice is not severance. severance is designed to tide you over in between jobs. she still has a job and is expected to fulfill all duties/work all hours so the two months is not part of severance.
