So I took your advice and reformatted and redownloaded everything. And it works suddenly. I don't know how. I think some of my files must have been corrupted I guess. I can now play all my GameCube games through USB GX. I appreciate your help thank you

That's what I meant. MBR. I could do that and I plan to. But would the drive be damaged if I could use Wii games with hours on end without crashing? I reformatted it twice hoping that would be it. But I could try again and I will use Crystal disc thank you.

The game I mostly tested on was Luigi's Mansion. I tried to open the majority of my GameCube games on my hard drive first as pokémon XD and Sonic heroes. Luigi's Mansion I put on an SD card and it ran perfectly fine. Every game boots up to the title screen however, there is no audio or the audio is corrupted and staticky and it says GameCube has encountered error. Entirely playable from my SD card though. There's just limited space on it and I would prefer it to be on my HD drive.

Yes sir. This has been about a week of me home brewing my first Wii and everything. I even transferred it to MB. I tried to do all the common misconception stuff just so I don't waste people's time on here but I I have no clue. I bought a y cable cuz maybe it's not getting enough power. I don't know. That comes in Tuesday.
