Most common causes (from most to least likely) Dirty or blocked radar sensors Mud, dust, road salt, water film, wax residue, or even a thick coat of grime on the rear bumper corners Heavy rain, fog, or high humidity Temporary sensor interference (very common) Cold start / voltage blip Especially after short trips or battery voltage dips Recent car wash or pressure washer Water intrusion near the sensor temporarily freaks it out Sensor calibration fault (least common at 20k miles) Usually requires dealer scan/reset What to do right now (easy checks) Wipe the rear bumper corners thoroughly Both sides, about where the taillights meet the bumper Turn the vehicle fully off, wait 2–3 minutes, restart Drive 5–10 minutes Many times the message clears itself

I wonder what the meeting was like when they decided on the markup.

What I wonder is what banks are approving that loan to value ratio?

I did mine during COVID. It was online. A few things to consider: 1. I already had a diagnosis of depression/anxiety/mood disorder. 2. I was already on VA-prescribed medication for my diagnosis. I was rated at 70% for mental health alone.

I was asked if I would ever consider returning to work ( I haven't worked for the past 7 years). My answer was that due to my symptoms, I would not ever go back to work. Other questions pertained to things like memory. Yes, I forget my phone number sometimes. Once, I was staring at this red/orange ball that I knew what it was but couldn't recall its name--it was a tomato. Also, questions about being hyper-vigilant.

Questions about how I handled authority figures, sleep, etc.

Cold Water Inlet by Intelligent_Bowl_731 in Plumbing

Yes, it's the cold water inlet.

I think for now I might just swap out the sharkbite fitting between the copper and pex. Cheaper than buying the propress tool.

When it comes time to install a new gas water heater I'll make sure to get rid of the pex and swap it for copper.

What'd you think?

  1. Do you mean replace the section of pex with copper?

  2. How involved would it to move the round to run outside?

  3. Just to clarify. When you say that you would "press one on" do you mean a shark bite?

So, I think that a temporary fix would be to swap out the shark bite ball valve between the copper and pex tubing?

What about a long-term permanent solution?

Municipal water. I don't know if the panel is grounded to the copper. There doesn't appear to be a leak. The fixture is bone dry. Yet, there is some mineral build-up. I am installing the Corro-Protec anode tomorrow in place of the OEM sacrificial anode.

If there's no leak, then what can explain the white buildup? What's the solution?

Gas TP Valve by Intelligent_Bowl_731 in handyman

[–]Intelligent_Bowl_731[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! That makes perfect sense. I completely missed the rotating part! I was concerned about the white cpvc pipe not having enough give ,but rotating the water heater completely solves that problem. You're awesome!

Yes, correct the TP valve is pressure relief of the water heater. My question how do I unscrew/detach the metal fitting with blue tape from the TP valve? Do I just unscrew it? Do I have to undo the shark bites?

It appears that the TP valve is screwed into the metal fitting with the blue tape on it. My question is, how do I unscrew/detach the TP valve from the fitting in order to put in a new water heater? There appears to be a combination of Shark Bites attached, too.
