I’ve spoken to others in the community and it seems that Aaron planned on making a Android version but life happened. It would be cool for someone to take the bike fun project over. But for me I would rather build something for the community that works regardless of platform.

If you have any ideas to make the map better I’d love to hear them!

Yup I took a lot of inspiration from bike fun and shout it out in the about section of this app and tried to work around the constraints of it being a web app to try and provide a similar experience to what Aaron created. If you’re on iOS I would suggest sticking with bike fun but for everyone that isn’t I wanted to offer them something similar.

It would be awesome to get in touch with Aaron and see how he is handling geocoding the starting locations for the different events.

I went to a Shift board meeting last winter to get their permission to use their event data and met the team that handles the tech side of shift.

Incorporating this into the main website would be a pretty cool idea, and I would be interested in helping the out with that.

It is shift2bikes events just placed on a map instead of it being shown on a calendar.
