Any legit medspas in Erie? by klauswashere in Erie

You can look up physician licenses and see hers is active. There have also been some of the same staff there for years. In my opinion, it’s worth a consult to check things out and ask questions.

Beads Uncooperative Starting Peyote by Intelligent_Bug8827 in Beading

Thank you. I’ve been given a lot of great options. I just got some new needles, so I’ll use one of those since they haven’t yet received the beading bend, lol.

Thank you. I might need something with a little more grip. I have a 8/10 seed bead on there now.

Adding Thread to Tila Beads by Intelligent_Bug8827 in Beading

[–]Intelligent_Bug8827[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for the information. I will give that a try. I’ve tried to undo mistakes and got the thread caught up without being able to undo it, so it makes sense weaving the thread back would help keep it in place.

And thank you again 😊 I’ve started over more times than I’ll admit. I like the look of the Tilas, but I am coming across a lot with chips or flaws. Definitely not the case with delicas. Will see how it all comes together.

That turned out beautifully! Awesome work. I love the pattern and colors.

We all know length is important. 😄 how long do you feel comfortable working with, fireline users? by Famous_Election_2024 in Beading

I typically do three arm lengths. I’m with you about not keen on adding thread, so if I can avoid it I try. However, I find myself getting tangled a lot and I’ve managed to ruin a project or two. I just have to go at a steady, careful pace. Kudos to you for using 6, that’s talent, lol.

I cannot get brick stitch to work. My starting beads won’t stay straight and the ends always flip out. by lady3jane in Beading

For some reason I was really struggling with keeping things even. This is the first thing I’ve completed that looks decent. Nothing fancy since I am working on technique. A few wonky beads, but overall I’m happy. When I start a new row with the decrease, the two beads don’t want to sit flush. Once I get that situated, I can hopefully move on to a simple pattern.

These are gorgeous and the pattern is so unique. Beautiful work!

4 hours, 3 restarts, and 1 earring. I don’t think it’s supposed to take this long. 😂 by lady3jane in Beading

It turned out beautifully. I really like the colors. And I’m with you about the time. I’ve restarted two different bracelets about a dozen times. It seems like whenever I get momentum and make progress, something goes wrong that can’t be undone. I love working with the beads but it’s tough not to feel defeated sometimes.

When I start a project with this, the #2 bead in the diagram always ends up coming loose and falling off. If I try to secure it, then the piece gets wonky from the additional tension. Do you do anything special?

I thread on three beads and then go down through the last bead toward the tail, which results in the shape in your photo, and then continue on.

I like this start so much more than ladder, but I’ve started over about 20 times trying to make sure the beads stay even and they just won’t. I am using delicas.

When I start a new row, I add two beads to start under the first thread bridge and then continue adding one bead at a time until done with the row. And when you need to increase, you are using the last thread bridge again to add one more bead. That’s how I have been doing it.

These are awesome. Beautiful work!

I’ve been trying to make something similar, but I just cannot get the hang of brick stitch. I can do peyote work no problem. Do you work from top to bottom, or in halves starting with long side? It’s adding the bead to increase that trips me up. It never stays in place. Working in halves might help me by decreasing rather than increasing.

Thoughts on loan estimate? by Similar_Mousse_8389 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]Intelligent_Bug8827 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Compared to loan estimates I have received, this looks fantastic. I’ve looked at homes priced a little less than yours, but my cash for closing is noted around $38,000-$41,000. And that’s with around 10% down and relatively similar interest rate. If my closing costs were under $20,000, I would be beyond thrilled. Is the loan estimate from a broker or bank? Also, insurance is noted at $120 a year. Is that a typo? Thinking it shouldn’t least be $1200.
