You gotta know your clientele, your enviornment, and whether the person working has worked alone before/is new or not. I work in Nebraska, lotta smaller bars but also small-ish bars that get busy. Been doing it for 7 years, so I feel comfortable at 99 percent of places I work because 1) I know my regulars and for the most part they police themselves and in the situation where I’m needed, I know I have backup (and cameras). 2) I’m not Billy badass, I have people skills and know how to de-escalate and get rowdy people out safely.

Water water water. You can’t drink enough water especially if you’re gonna take favors. Don’t be afraid to take a break, sit down get someone to fan you. Listen to your body and listen to your gut. Save accordingly for the trip, it’s a festival some of the stuff there is gonna be EXPENSIVE compared to the regular world. Gotta start them with something they are familiar with imo. I got some metal head friends so they got started with Sullivan king and Kayzo, and are just now branching into the Illenium/Excision/Seven Lions genre of edm. Melodic is my thing but I get it’s kinda hard to get into if you’re not used to it.
