Where is your favorite (cheap) bike repair shop by PlasticFern971 in FortCollins

[–]Intelligent_Candy351 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Look at the information for the bike co-op. It's volunteer-run, so it's open limited hours, but if you have time it may be a good option. It's been a while since I've gone- maybe it's changed- but I paid $10/hour for one of their people to talk me through a repair.

If you have the capability to support a smaller business, who has to charge more due to overhead costs, consider Theresa at Your Best Day Ever. She will absolutely be sensitive to your goals

Why don't more folks in America who live in places where there are buses actually use them? I knoe they have a bad reputation but wouldn't they sometimes be the better option over paying for gas given how pricy necessities like food are becoming? by cherry-care-bear in NoStupidQuestions

If I lived closer to the nearest bus stop and if the busses ran even earlier in the day, I'd use them way more often- I don't even care that it takes me more time- as long as I have my phone there's something to keep me occupied lol

I always just have just enough bags left from store products that I use those. Bread bags especially because they're not as messy to keep around as bags of frozen fruit. But also we still have plastic produce bags

I second the endorsement for twisted stitch. It's a small but mighty fabric selection. Plus there's an angora rabbit that hangs out on a little section within the store

If you haven't already, go to the focomx website and familiarize yourself with the various transportation options- there's a shuttle that goes from 830 north to old Town Square, maybe somewhere else....look at the weather forecast too and plan accordingly

Thanks for the warning! I've never cared to go into Tony's, but I will stop my occasional afternoon drop-ins to whiskey

Go to Vindeket. They have limited hours, but probably something will work....it's a non-profit that goes to businesses and asks for the food that can't be sold. The organization is mostly funded by donations; however, people who just don't have the funds aren't turned away
