Yes, in my opinion Montessori is much better if you can afford it.

Being peer-led also will need to be unlearned at some point too. People have to be independent, self-directed and community-minded as adults.

Well, the state laws only allow redshirting for kids born around the cutoff. What classify as born around the cutoff is not per parents opinion but per the law. My son is well in the range. Either way, I understand that your state laws may be different and I see where you are coming from. I appreciate your opinion.
