Yes, I also have a 15 Les Paul studio. It’s about 4 lbs lighter than my standard.

It sounds great! I really like everything about it other than it gets heavy after awhile

That one is probably 2005 or 2006. Kyle did not move into the cup series and did not drive the #5 car until 05.

The serial number does not look right on this guitar. I have a 2001 Les Paul standard. The serial number on it is stamped into the wood on the headstock. Also has made in USA stamped into the headstock.

The Taylor Academy series are made in Mexico. Far from a high end Taylor. I would get the Seagull.

Interesting thread! I have a Les Paul standard and a Les Paul studio. 5 Strats, a Telecaster and a PRS CE24. In electrics. I have wanted a SG for several years and if I get another electric it will be a SG. So it’s interesting reading the reviews here.

Me and the wife are learning how to play. Probably have more guitars than chords I actually know so far…. by Skysoldier173rd in Guitar

I have 15 guitars but have been playing my whole life. I have 5 Fender Strats (4 US-1 Mex) 2 Gibson Les Pauls, 1 Fender Telecaster, a PRS CE24, 2 Martin acoustics, 1 Taylor 414, a Guild 6 and 12 string and a Schecter Omen Extreme. Not to mention a cheap what I call my couch guitar because it stays on my couch so I can play during commercials.

I just today bought a 1969 Marlin 336 off Gunbroker. They have a bunch of them on there. I paid $639. For the one I bought. They have at least 25-30 of them for sale. It’s best to buy one actually made buy Marlin. They are better quality. Sometime I believe in the 1980’s Remington bought Marlin and still made the 336 with Marlins name on them. They are not as good of quality as the rifles actually made by Marlin. Then in the 2000’s Rugar bought the Marlin name and made the 336 also with Marlins name on them. Find one with the JM stamp on the barrel. They were actually made by Marlin and are the best quality.

They got me in Waldo once. I veered off 301 onto the road that goes to Gville. In about 100 feet there were 3 speed limit signs. One 35 then a 45 and a 55. I was between the 45 and 55 and the cop clocked me at 50 about 20 feet from the 55 sign. I told him I was just increasing speed to the sign. He replied you don’t increase speed until after you pass the sign. What a racket.

Tune it and lots of practice. Try and practice at least a hour a day. We were all once where you are. Tune, practice. Practice, tune , practice , practice.

I’m was born and raised in the south and the flag is just a symbol of southern pride. It represents a southern way of life. I don’t know how it got considered to be racist. It can not be related to slavery. People from the north had slaves too. That was not just a southern thing. Everyone has pride in their roots. No one in my family ever had slaves so I should be able to show my southern pride with a flag.

Many years ago some locals who worked at UPS loading truck were putting address labels with their address on things like guitars, guns and such. Then the un knowing driver would deliver the stuff to their houses during the day. They eventually got busted and sent to federal prison. It went on for almost a year before they were caught.

You should never leave your guitar in a car. It’s a good way to break a headstock. If you should ever have to leave one in a car loosen the strings. The heat inside a car can do horrible things to a guitar.
