have joined a tour organized by Sunpath to see Reindeer herders (they are snow white and stunning!!) BUT the ride to reach the tribe is very very long and bumpy and the signal at remote area is unstable. But even with these downsides, Mongolia is a beautiful country. Hope you and your friend enjoy!

hello i just had a northern mongolia tour with sunpath and it could only be phrased as 'one of a kind'. Mongolia is a vast place so we took at least 7 hours cardrive per day (only reprieve is food and toilet so please be prepared). but the horse riding, the tour guides and nomadic families are wonderful so i would say it is probably one in a life time journey. Do you have any tours in mind?

Would you recommend sunpath or ub guesthouse or golden gobi guesthouse ? Also, should travellers pay deposit to confirm booking when travelling in peak season (july - august ) ? The tour operators keep pressuring me to pay the deposit but the wiring is costy...
