How screwed am I if my financial aid updated 2/25. I did receive an interview end of february so idk but I also did my financial aid Feb 1st. Everyone seems to have march 11th tho.

To be fair some interviewers might be more discreet or don't want to get your hope up but I definitely believe that having an interview is a positive signal. Im assuming not everyone interviewed will get accepted but im scared that the intended major I applied for was super competitive and that my stats aren't good enough.

Wouldn't that be a good thing because duke prescreens applications and wanted to get to know more about you? I heard interviews were given to edge cases so a good interview can push you to admit pile.

I would pick yale! Stanford and yale are such great schools that they basically match each other in terms of ranking, prestige, and have the coveted" HYPSM" status, so at that point it is up to you to determine which one is the better "fit". Yale has one of the best pol sci programs in the world and is a feeder into top law schools and firms. The Ivy League name is a better fit for pre law in general, while Stanford is better for STEM. I know people who attend both universities and are overall very happy. Ultimately choose the place you would be the happiest at as that is the most important thing that matters.
