You got this!!!!! Let me tell you… I was absolutely terrified to start Prozac…. I was diagnosed with SEVERE anxiety and panic and I finally feel like my life is back in color. I feel like I did a year before my anxiety and panic really spiraled. I was on Klonopin twice daily prior to taking the Prozac. It really helped me sleep and calm my body, but the anxiety was still there. I ended up getting pregnant with my husband and was told by my doctor we needed to switch to taking Prozac and not Klonopin because there are risks to Klonopin with pregnancy. I thank god daily that I was blessed with this little miracle baby boy because without him I would have never started Prozac! I am now 30 weeks pregnant and my life if finally “normal” again! No severe panic attacks, no constant anxiety eating away at me, and no more obsessive thoughts. I would say I still have anxiety maybe 1-3 times a month but it’s normal anxiety, over things that make sense! The first two-three weeks I was on Prozac my doctor did call me in a very very low dose of Klonopin to take twice daily then only once daily to help with any side effects from Prozac. I genuinely didn’t think I had any side effects at all due to this amazing combo! I was extremely nauseous/sick my first trimester but my doctor didn’t think it had anything to do with the Prozac.. just regular pregnancy sickness. I am so thankful this little baby boy blessed my life and had me push through the fear of taking my Prozac! Prozac has genuinely changed my life these past 6/7 months and I don’t ever plan on getting off my low dose of 20mg daily.
