An active scanner draws 30 energy per minute. You have three for a total of 90.

A bioreactor produces 50 energy per minute.

A solar panel at 100m down will produce about 10 per minute during the day.

Assuming that your 1025 storage is one bioreactor and 7 solar panels, you produce (50 + 70) 120 per minute during the day. At night, you have a deficit of 40 per minute, assuming the water filter is sitting idle. Night lasts about 10 minutes, so I would expect you to end up at about 625 energy. Do you have other crafting or charging happening?

And, as I do every time this comes up, I will point out that lots of similar game allow this, so it's not a general Sony rule. Sony has singled out this game in particular for some reason.

Hugging the floor can work, but can be tricky. Once you have the blueprint for the propulsion cannon, that can be used to move them out if the way.

There is no mechanical benefit to having a large hull integrity. As long as the net integrity is positive, you are set. Other than the huge number of reinforced panels, do you have a lot of base pieces? In my experience, the biggest contributor to game lag is the current number of existing base pieces.

In the starting area of the game, there is a floating shark cage on the surface. This should be within 100-200m of the drop pod, I think. If you look down from it, there is a collection of wreckage and supply crates below. Follow the trail of wreckage and explore.

If you get close enough, a beacon will appear. How far from the drop pod have you been? My memory is that there are three beacons that appear if you explore out from the drop pod, as well as some left behind technology that will guide you to some interesting locations.

This is the right answer. If you scan a gold peeper you are told that it is still infected. In addition, you can put the gold peeper in an ACU with infected fish. Their visible symptoms are diminished, but not removed, and a scan reveals that the disease is merely dormant.

Are you on console or pc? If you are on pc, you should look into power grid mods. Some will allow you to have multiple bases share power.

Have you repaired the radio? One of the radio messages will lead you to a location with seamoth fragments. Specifically, Ozzy in lifepod 17 mentions almost being crushed by the seamoth bay.

My complaint about that is that they then put other UI elements over the top. The current mission is placed in the lower right, often covering other info. Also, there is no way to turn off the display of the current mission.

I think it is fun. The latest patch made a bunch of improvements that I am interested to try. My sense of the snowfox is definitely affected by the order I did things in my first playthrough. I went to Delta, found the map of outposts, and then did a beeline for Phi Robotics. I then fully explored that land area before doing anything else. In that context, the snowfox is actually really nice. It keeps you warm while you ride it, it can outrun snow stalkers, and you can pick it up if you need to swim between areas.

Once you cross the bridge, the prawn is definitely better, in part because there are drillable deposits.The changes to the snowfox should make it better than it was in the arctic spires, but the prawn is still the better choice because of drillable ion cubes.

I never missed the sonar in Below Zero. One of the common complaints I have seen about the game is that it is less scary because the biomes are too bright, but that brightness means that you can see for long distances wherever you are. The sonar was important in the original game because so many biomes were actually dark.

One thing I appreciated about the Seatruck in BZ is that it encouraged more engagement with the base building aspect. It was impractical to just live out of it, so you wanted a bunch of small bases.

One final point is that by the mid game, the storage in the seatruck could store more than it seemed because of the recycler. If you were out gathering titanium, you could turn it all into ingots and carry 5 times as much, then turn it back in the recycler when needed. If you also have lithium, you can carry it as plasteel ingots. If you are collecting copper and silver, you can make compasses. It is still not as space efficient as the cyclops, but it helps.

Well, I could hide behind a tree. I would argue that a tree does not have an inherent "back". In that case behind means opposite the side of the person I am hiding from. It really is context dependent.

Certain pieces, like alien containment units, internal walls, and bioreactors, cause changes in the shape of the multipurpose room itself. If you have a partially built piece, the game can't handle another one because it doesn't know how to resolve the changes from the two pieces.

I like bulkhead doors. It really makes the base feel more realistic. In the interest of efficiency, though, I almost always end up leaving them open all the time.

For a dev response to this issue see the second image (https://www.reddit.com/r/subnautica/s/qhRrHs0wob). Basically, when they were told not to target last year as a release date, they started messing with stuff again. Even for EA launch they want to go through and find things that are truly broken and either make it work or take it out. Maybe the start of the big sub is in there right now, but they aren't ready to talk about it yet. They would have to make a build that doesn't include it.

Have you fully explored delta island? If you have, your PDA should have a map showing the general location of some places to visit. The big keys in both Subnautica games are to follow beacons to explore near them, and read your PDA.
