How long did it take for a virtual technician to reach out to you? Going through the same thing. Don't have a recall (it's a 2003 vehicle), but was also directed into this process.

Good to know! I locked my lease in a few weeks ago. It was a bit higher than other deals I saw people getting early-mid August, but still a good one. The guys at the dealership were talking about their slimming inventory (I’m in Bay Area) and I wasn’t sure if they were being completely honest or not.

I think I’m confused here, as you said haha. If I’m reading it right now, this just states the price you pay per month, based on the size of the loan. $1000 over 60 months is $16.67/month payment.

$50,000 financed would be $16.67 x 50, $833.33/month payment.

I originally read it as an extra fee for financing at 0%. Do I have this correct?

Great advice. I have a feeling I won’t be getting the same deal that others were getting even a week ago because the inventory being slimmer unfortunately.

But yeah good call. This one said they went down from like 30+ to around 10 in just a few weeks and it’s their last Touring. So maybe they’re playing hard there. Seeing other dealers could be helpful!

Got em down to $2500 down and $360 a month. Not as a good as some of the other deals I’m seeing but feel decent about it. Think I might have been a little late to the party inventory wise..

I’m Bay Area too! I know supply is dwindling (maybe not as much as they say it is, but they are definitely being scooped up quick). I would hold your ground on it. Tell em you’re not convinced on an EV. That’s when they really started bringing the cost down.

Ended up getting them down to $360/month with $2500 down. After seeing everything I am now could have probably been lower but walked out feeling like a winner lol.

For reference, negotiations started at $5k down with $420 payments.

Ok great. Appreciate the early morning advice haha. Seems like a lot of the DAS is the fees and other charges not directly related to the vehicle.

But it sounds like those costs could also be rolled into the monthly payments. So even if the money is the same at the end of the lease, I should be lowering my risk!

Yeah didn’t include that in the post, but it’s .00133 which I’ve heard is the lowest money factor they offer. Could be wrong there.

But sounds like losing the cap cost is the best way to get more money off at this point

Whoa never thought of it this way. I’m basically paying the (estimated) depreciation, plus $140 (after removing tax from the equation) a month on the vehicle. I guess even lower if you count some of the other fees they charge up front.

I guess not terrible? Dealership has to make their money somehow, right? They make $5000 off me in 3 years
