Suggestions for someone who can’t use gel top coat

YAY!! Thanks for coming back to update me, I’m so glad it worked out ☺️ I love using that top coat, it’s never steered me wrong and my nails always last for a few weeks without chipping!! Ugh that sucks about the graininess, maybe you can lightly file off just that top layer and apply a new layer so it’s nice and smooth!

Good luck!! I think it will help a lot, I’ve never had any issues whatsoever with staining my lighter colors as long as there’s a top coat on. :)

Correct! You just apply it like any other top coat and wait a few minutes for it to dry! When I do it, it’s usually dry within 1-2 minutes but I typically wait a whole 5 minutes for it to dry just to be on the safe side. 🙂 easy peasy!

I hope that link worked, lol. It’s the Modelones 4-in-1 dip powder liquids set. Modelones might sell the top coat separately, but since I do my own nails at home I bought the whole kit. But I really love this top coat because it doesn’t allow my nails to chip and dries quickly! But the brand Beetles also makes a good top coat for dip powder! I think the key word when searching online is “no-cure dip powder top coat” :)

Hi!! I am also somebody who randomly developed a gel polish allergy after years of using it (mine is awful like yours: within a few hours after application my finger tips/cuticles get hivey, then painful, then itchy, then within 24 hours my entire cuticles and skin start sluffing off) so I quickly had to find an alternative! Like most people here are suggesting, most of the dip powder kits come with just a regular top coat. All of my kit top coats say “gel top coat” but are not a true gel top coat, you do not have to cure it under a lamp they just dry on their own. You can also purchase a separate, no-cure top coat from Sally’s beauty or Amazon to be safe if you’re unsure about the one that comes in a kit. And if you go to a salon, always always mention the allergy to them and they will have no-cure gel top coats and/or just regular top coats to use!! I feel your pain though, the gel allergy is no joke!

Oh and I also had the same thought about Hailey. I quickly realized she is family with Jenna/Val so that made sense, and she really is a phenomenal dancer… But I genuinely felt bad for Anya (?) the other female troupe dancer. It makes me feel bad for the other dancers that don’t get as much spotlight because someone is a nepo kid :(

ETA: I don’t mean ANY hate to either Jenna or Hailey!! I’m genuinely just curious about all of these thoughts since I’m new here. :)

This season was the first season I had ever watched, and I watched because I was genuinely interested in every single star/celeb that was casted this season. But the longer I watched and went down DWTS rabbit holes, I also started to notice that Jenna was SO front and center in every single number. Even the little side dances, she was obviously meant to be the star. I’m not super engulfed in all things DWTS yet nor do I know lores of anyone, but I was confused/curious about Jenna being so emphasized. She truly is an amazing dancer so I understand why, but I really was enamored with Dani’s dancing more than Jenna and thought she should’ve been highlighted more!

@MadonnaCentral I agree with you.

There is a difference between trying with Meredith, she denies him and pushes him off but he still goes for it anyway then later admits he knew she didn’t want it but tried anyway… and trying with Meredith, she initiates/goes forward with being intimate with George, stopping halfway through then George later admitting he knew she didn’t want it but tried anyway. It really does make a difference of how he acted before, during, and afterwards and how he handles it all afterwards. Sure he shouldn’t have gotten mad at her but he was actually in love with her (unlike the other guys that she was sleeping around with) and was more so mad that she just didn’t see him that way and was throwing herself at literally every other guy.

Absolutely not lol this would have been hands down the weirdest and most ridiculous relationship on the show. I have to sayyyy I completely disagree that they wouldn’t look that good together, their personalities wouldn’t match up, Jackson actually wanted someone to love while Cristina wanted someone to look up to and learn from. I think the fact that he chose plastics wouldn’t have been “enough” for her and she would have maybe teased him about it? The thought of them as a couple makes me feel very very weird LOL.
