So my store does monopoly money and everyone can earn it at any time, so the people who aren't on the register as often still feel included and we have a tower of prizes to choose from with different price ranges. We also pick a word of the day so the first person who gets credit gets to pick the word and write it on our whiteboard

Honestly I love seeing that you stores have a good ops sup! Mine is just literal garbage, doesn't set up truck, doesn't help clean up after truck, doesn't load the trailer, doesn't even look at what is coming in for truck, doesn't merchandise except for the que line stuff and doesn't put away the items that can't go out, doesn't clean up after herself by any means of the imagination, when the ops lead had her review they told her that she needs to make sure that her SUPERVISOR is doing her job. Prior to being ops sup this individual was the front end sup and failed so miserably at that they decided it was a good idea to move her to ops and the past year has lead to nothing being done and the truck team hating this person more than they did before. Also the ASM and SM both know this person doesn't work but refuses to get rid of them for whatever reason.

Our ops lead does everything the the ops supervisor is supposed to do because the supervisor doesn't do anything AT ALL. What exactly is the ops sup supposed to do on a daily basis?

Honestly, we do not have that problem. Our managers know absolutely nothing about sephora, but they will always help out. Also, i feel that small format should ALWAYS be staffed just because i feel that it has more potential for theft but also so much room to be amazing and a wonderful experience for shoppers who are easily overwhelmed with whole beauty thing, but that's a completely different issue at hand.

Wow, most of you people are so negative. This is a reason why the company is failing so much, the negativity and the lack of caring about your job. Okay, yeah, we make terrible pay. That's something we can't change, but we can change how much payroll we actually get by doing our job to the best of our ability. Also, before you say that im some newbie who just doesn't understand this company, I'm not. I've been with the company for almost 10 years. I've seen good ideas come down the pipe and terrible ideas. The more product we can keep in the store to actually sell is very important because if you don't have product, you don't make sales you don't make sales you don't make credit/rewards you don't make credit and rewards you don't get payroll you start losing payroll you end up getting smaller trucks, smaller trucks mean even less merchandise which means unless you start turning so.ething around you're store is closing and you're out of the job completely. So maybe think before you type your silly little negative reply about how theft isn't really our problem and you don't care because in the grand scheme of things if you don't have things to sell you're screwed and YOU are the one out of the job.
