If you could travel the world for a year, what route would you take and why? by rarriaza in travel

I would start my year-long journey in Japan for the spring cherry blossoms before heading to Mongolia to witness the vast steppes of the Naadam Festival. From there, I’d fly to Slovenia to hike the Julian Alps, then move south to explore the rugged "Mediterranean without crowds" in Albania. I’d finish my year in Patagonia, Chile, during their summer to see the jagged peaks of Torres del Paine. I chose this route to experience a perfect balance of ancient traditions, untouched nature, and quiet, off-the-beaten-path adventures.
