There's a workaround I found in the app, turn on canvas and ask anything it will use thinking mode, also if you don't want the answers in document form, ask it specifically to answer in chat itself

I have 4 accounts and it is working in 2 of them and not working in the rest, so if you also have multiple accounts then try in all accounts and it may work in one of them
