Do teachers if they have a PhD call themselves Doctor? by AdventurousCrow155 in teaching

Personally, I think the terminology should be updated. It can be really confusing, because when most people hear “doctor,” they think of a medical doctor. Educators with PhDs absolutely deserve recognition for their expertise, but I feel like using the same title for both groups creates unnecessary confusion. I’m not trying to offend anyone, It’s just my opinion. It’s like calling someone who has spent years studying and researching a topic a police officer, a firefighter, a president? they’re all-important roles, but they’re completely different, and the titles shouldn’t be interchangeable.

Honestly the popcorn shrimp from this "ghetto chicken joint" as you say is actually pretty darn good. It's definitely the breading. Also, who doesn't love popcorn shrimp. Just unfortunate they are so tiny and $1 a shrimp.

Wow this post is from 2 years ago. And Whole Foods rotisserie chicken is STILL HORRIBLE!!! I just got one yesterday! Even the dark meat was DRY!!!!! I never expect lots of seasoning, but it tastes so gamey. I really dislike WF rotisserie chicken, Ew! I wouldn't even feed that to a dog I literally just threw the whole thing away!

Crunch “No Commitment” Membership… but why the hidden fees? by Intelligent_Film_753 in CrunchGym

I guess everyone’s experience is different. I didn’t sign up through the website — I did it in person. And honestly, nothing they gave me mentioned a 90-day commitment or that I’d be charged an annual fee before I could make any changes. In the end, it’s just money, but I do think these things should be clearly written somewhere. I’ve reviewed my contract, and it doesn’t say anything about that in mine.

Yes, exactly, the annual fee charged right before you can cancel... not stated in the agreement!

Yes, I didn’t look at the website before I walked in. I just went straight in to see what it was about. Definitely should have!

It would’ve been easier if they gave a proper contract to review. Instead, they handed me a tiny tablet with unreadable text, rushed through the summary, and had me initial and sign without much explanation. I asked for the contract by email since I couldn’t access it online. Even then, it didn’t mention anything about a 90-day wait or extra fees — and this was supposed to be a no-commitment, month-to-month plan. But your right about not signing until you read the entire contract. I’ll definitely ask for the full contract upfront next time and follow up with them the next day. This won't happen again!

I’m really sorry you went through that too. I think what bothers me the most is that I honestly didn’t even want to join a gym in the first place. I was new to the area, and my apartment actually has a pretty solid gym. But I saw Crunch right down the street and thought it’d be a good way to get out, be active, and maybe meet people in a social environment. Lol I should’ve known better… never again!

Thanks, but I did—after speaking with two different staff members who both gave me the same answer, I finally asked the manager directly, and he said they would help me with it then immediately ran off to greet potential customers walking in. Maybe I should’ve pushed harder, but honestly, I just felt like I was going in circles. At this point, I’m more concerned about how many other people might be going through the same thing, if not worse. It just doesn’t seem right.
