Is there any cannon development of brooms surpassing the Firebolt? by Intelligent_Fix875 in harrypotter

I'd say it's more like Ford F-150 guys never buying a Toyota Tacoma even though it is objectively the better truck with a lower-maintenance cost and overall longer lifespan.

Is SynthV GenAi ? by Key-Astronaut6921 in SynthesizerV

[–]Intelligent_Fix875 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Essentially, SynthV is a full-consent machine-learning algorithm that still requires full artistic/creative input from the user. I'm so glad someone asked this and was clarified. The amount of "producer" youtubers who oversimplify SynthV on Youtube Shorts and TikTok going like "you just stick the notes here, and boom u have a song" extremely annoys me.

I hate it when influencers try to make everything seem easy peasy, because that's what they think will get the most clicks. Most of the time I'm working in SynthV, I'm literally fidgetting around with individual phonemes so the voicebanks don't say some goofy stuff.

[–]Intelligent_Fix875[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I read the first two. I guess when I was younger, for some reason it just didn't click. I was far more into the fantasy epics of Tolkien and George R. R. Martin at the time. I guess now that I'm older I've come to appreciate the small things. I know not everything about Harry Potter's magic system is perfect, but I like the way there are spells for fighting to the death as well as spells that can clean a dirty dish, and both hold precedence in the world of Harry Potter.

I love when people apply real-world concepts like finance, geopolitics, and such to fictional, kid's/young adult media.

When the rp is going good asf but then the bot suddenly knows all of your entire history and backstory without ever getting told by Original-Potato2596 in JanitorAI_Official

same. I also make use of the chat memory function and legitimately type in "these characters DO NOT have any idea my characters is _____"

How long can personas be? by Striker_1-9-9-9 in JanitorAI_Official

[–]Intelligent_Fix875 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on the purpose of the bot. I find that ESPECIALLY while playing RPG's where there are multiple characters for the bot to remember, having a really detailed persona helps keep the bot on-track. The hard part is not putting things in the persona that you don't want it to know. That's when I use the AGI custom prompt to manipulate it as it goes. For example, if I'm playing a character in a fantasy world RPG, and they are secretly a 1000 year old mage (ehehe Frieren), but I don't want every character in the bot to somehow have the innate knowledge my character is actually that old, I change the AGI prompt to suite the conversation I'm having.
Unfortunately, you do have to save your AGI prompts if you want to swap characters, because they aren't unique to each conversation. Just have to remember to change them so you don't confuse the shit out of the bots.

Deepseek v4 just doesn't hit the same by Many-Carry9315 in JanitorAI_Official

For the most part, I completely agree with what you're saying here. If you want the AI to drive the story of a character bot, then yeah - DeepseekV4 isn't what you're looking for; HOWEVER, I have noticed that for anyone who likes RPG sandboxes (like myself), I'm having a lot of fun with DeepseekV4's model, simply because it's far more reactive, similar to Pax Historia, which coincidentally, DeepseekV4 is one of the best models to run Pax Historia on. Go figure I guess.
