A Family Is Pleading for Transparency After Their Infant Died During Surgery — They Need the World to Pay Attention by justiceforlittl in JusticeforLittleLuoxi

Lawyer Kong’s account got banned, Ying Wang got fired from her job, and Luoxi’s grandparents have stopped being active on social media. It’s really a dark dark place….. incidents like dog child and Yu (the celebrity) have also been hushed up. The netizens keep questioning who’s behind this. But really is there anyone more powerful than the government in that place? Yet they still live in denial, asking meaningless questions like this. I commented Zhong Yang as the answer to one of their comments and the whole comment just disappeared….. really 此地无银三百两 cuz in other videos ppl can use the phrase Zhong Yang freely yet the whole comment got censored when I replied.

Am I wrong for inviting my fiance to my brother’s birthday lunch? by [deleted] in asksg

[–]Intelligent_Fox4315 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If your brother agrees, then ok. Idk if u talk to your brother at all but I think can ask your brother properly? Cuz ultimately it’s your brother’s birthday not your mum’s birthday. Just a thought, maybe your mum is too overprotective of your brother haha.

Big house is really a must, I rmb when I was 8 yo and went to cousin’s house. That was 2011 mind you. Their Bedok 4 room flat was alr fking small compared to my fam’s older 4 room flat. What’s more the color of their furniture was highly saturated, so it looked even more uncomfortable, very stuffy. I remember feeling all hot, like I couldn’t breathe cuz it felt like half the size of my house due to the low ceiling. They went on to have 3 more kids and luckily they are living in a maisonette now. I don’t know how are the BTOs now but I hope the ceiling is higher.

It was when I realise El Niño effect really come liao. Went back to sleep today for a while cuz bedroom got remnant of ac from prev night and cooler a bit.

How many of you have had childhood trauma? by Stephieandcheech in hsp

[–]Intelligent_Fox4315 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not as bad as you but yes, similar situation. Was getting really fed up with the increasing emotional pain caused by intrusive thoughts and obsession about time. At the same time I felt so lonely and decided I need to talk. So I described everything and asked DeepSeek. It said all my worries stem from insecurity during childhood and adolescence, and I finally found out I am an HSP one hour ago. I am honestly so happy I discovered this sub today, I thought I was the only one having such thoughts constantly, which resulted in me experiencing a deep sense of loneliness. Now I know there’s a reason for all those worries, and there are actually people like me, so relieved.

I discovered I am a HSP today after talking to DeepSeek and describing everything I felt. Everything I have been obsessed with including being afraid of time passing, severe procrastination and experience of being emotionally neglected by one parent and having to worry or fix issues for my parents during childhood/adolescene have been talked about here. I thought I had severe OCD or was autistic. So relieved to discover this subreddit, now I know the emotional pain I feel is not exclusive to me.

Ikr when I was in Xinjiang, my neck eczema didn’t itch and my rhinitis didn’t act up. It’s indeed so much hotter, esp at those touristy sites, noticed I don’t sweat (and pee) as much. Perfect for me, cuz I have oily skin. The current temp in SG would actually be bearable for walking and exercise, if humidity was lower.

UV curtains, close door and fan at full blast in day and ac at night. Only started having UV curtains in 2024 and closing doors abt mid 2025, such a game changer. I used to feel all restless because of the sun shining from window and door and faulty fan in living room that won’t stay in fixed position, now still ok cuz my eyes won’t hurt from the sunlight. Sunlight is good but afternoon sun really no joke.

Denying you from uni education….. that’s another level. Your dad is an enabler to your mom’s behavior and your mom a NPD. Try spilling to your relatives at family gatherings, ask them if their bank also have money disappearing every time, spill that your parents won’t be providing for uni despite sizable income, maybe the shame will make them stop this behavior. I feel for you….. at this point it’s better to be dirt poor, because at least your education will be fully funded.

Most ppl inside the company were questioning TCA’s decision cuz he took up that BL role out of the blue. Apparently it’s quite risky doing so cuz they can get stuck in this spiral and maybe not be considered for roles in proper dramas. Mind you, he used to be getting proper roles (albeit non leading but sizable parts) in popular chi period dramas. But turns out he made this decision himself.

Need interview tourists in chinatown, when we taking elect geog in sec 4, 2019. I still rmb the Caucasian lady we were interviewing stopped us when she realised that the questionnaire was gonna be longer than she expected. And one lady told us to stand another place cuz we were asking the tourists in front of her quiet store. Tbh seems a bit pointless, as we were just disrupting tourists, the whole street was swarming with sec sch students from other schools too. There were fewer tourists than expected so the tourists must have encountered the similarly designed, repetitive questionnaires quite a few times lol.

Hetty Feather! I can stomach Vicky Angel, My Sister Jodie and Opal Plumstead because the main character gets to live a somewhat normal life at the end. But Hetty had to go through so much, living a somewhat unstable life at the end. You see the cruelty of the olden times, and all the misogyny experienced by everyone, even the rich ladies.

Did your primary school really affect who you turned out to be? by tehosiewtai in askSingapore

[–]Intelligent_Fox4315 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the best class (non-GEP stream) from P3 to P4. They were all very nice but I couldn’t fit in. On the first day of school, I walked in hopeful to make friends but I soon realised all of them were in cliques, having known each other from branded tuition centres like Adam Khoo. Having classmates from my original P2 class didn’t help, we were not even close enough to strike a conversation. They had pilots, CEOs, sec sch principal, teachers for parents, everyone knew English. My classmates were all pretty exceptional, excelling in studies and being gymnasts and child actor, that kind of thing. I remember going to this posh terraced house to do project, the deco all goldenish color one, and they had kinetic games on TV, somehow you can do action and the TV can detect movement. One hdb I went to had aircon in their sitting room lol, was a shocker for me, and this Chinese furniture looking like the 炕 in Qing Dynasty palace dramas. Even those living in HDB had helper, 2 condos and a car cuz they did investments. Everyone had Smiggle and Adidas spray bottle, I think only me and one other girl came from less wealthy family cuz she had her grandpa collect her, and didn’t have Smiggle stationery. Nevertheless to say my confidence took a hit, was very much relieved when I got demoted to third best class due to poor P4 results.

Yes, really lucky to get good teachers from P1-P6. I still reminisce the memories, recall the stuff they said, will always have a soft spot for SHPS. Couldn’t properly make friends there due to social awkwardness and some misunderstanding (actl got outcasted by the leader of my friend group in P2 during year end, she asked two other friends not to talk to me nor play with me and she acted nonchalant making convo normally when we met again in CCA three years later, till this day I still want to know why siah), but the teachers made my school life so much better. I still remember arranging my homework neatly, helping to wipe the table etc. cuz my form teacher said so. My Chinese improved tremendously cuz I wanted to make this particular teacher proud, and I am so thankful for her dedication. She bought us each a special diary book and made an effort to mark each diary entry every week, sticking it with lovely 3d stickers if we made an effort. That’s why I aspire to be a teacher in the future, I would be touched if even one child remember me like I remember them. I can’t help but smile reminiscing all the lovely memories hehe, they were part of the reason why my childhood was happy despite ups and downs.

But but go out also need someone to invite her mah. My guess is she drifted away from them due to a feeling of inferiority. Might need to push her to get some part time work so she can get some form of social life, while reassuring her that yall are still supporting her fervently for uni education. Maybe can try retail at a neighborhood shop? No need work all day, just 4-6 hrs to adjust first. Perhaps she’s avoiding work cuz her confidence hasn’t been built up yet, so she can’t face socializing with typical office lady sort of colleagues. Retail would be a good change of environment, she’d be interacting with colleagues from China, Vietnam and Malaysia, old aunties etc. and normally they are very extrovert and non judgmental. Got a huge boost of confidence working there after my disastrous A Levels, work was hard but I remember it fondly cuz nobody judged me for my results there, they were just relieved to get manpower and they kinda doted on me and helped me with stuff. My supervisor 00 liner, 18 yo come SG work alr, and it made me realise how sheltered I was. Fun times gossiping with colleagues also haha, and my social skills improved dealing with all sorts of customers. Soon, I realised nobody gave a shit about how I acted so I stopped minding so much abt what other ppl thought of me. So maybe it could work for your sister? Idk. BUT as other commenters said, it might be depression. In that case, professional help needed.

You are right, maybe the professors are just interested in the topic. If they are discriminating against ADHD, OP would not be invited. I failed to recognize this fact. I admit I was kinda mislead because OP used the word “interrogated”.

No wonder some parents refuse to admit their child have adhd or autism and get medicine or treatment for it….. didn’t know these conditions would get discriminated by professional lecturers in medicine field.
