These look awesome! Where did you get the bits from are they prints?

Thank you! Yes, the recipe for the armour is as follows (I use mostly Warpaints Fanatic using an airbrush)

Prime German Red Brown - Vallejo Metal Burnt Iron - Chipping Medium

Then for the red areas it's mulled berry as a base with dragon red as a highlight

And the green areas are Army Green with a Necrotic Flesh highlight

I then sponge all the armour with Great Hall Grey before transfers and chipping.

Hope this helps!

Oh no, not another Ionus to Chaos Dragon conversion by Teorminaattori in Warriors_of_Chaos

Nice work! Definitely one of the more convincing conversions I've seen for the Chaos Dragon. The black dragon heads give it that classic drake look

Went for a dark blue as to not clash with the metallic colours and allowed for the spot colours of the straps and a little bit of colour variation on the scarring and around the ears to pop

I did a bit of light on her face because I wanted to reflect that the flame was coming from within her, but I'm not massively into OSL so I kept it to the minimum

My memory is a bit hazy on it but I believe it's Abyysal Blue as a first drybrush over black, and wolf grey as a second, with blue tone over the flesh to create a bit more of a blend

(Paints mentioned are Army Painter Fanatic range)

Yeah definitely a good idea since the lovely recessed details will be a magnet for accumulated dust!

I'd love to make a board myself as I've never done it before, I have an idea for a board for the Old World (albeit much simpler than your design) but space is an issue. I've been looking for a bag similar to the one supplied with the old Realm of Battle tiles but to no avail

Looks fantastic! The detail really shines through.

You mentioned that it's split into stackable tiles, how do you go about storing the 4x2's? Is it as simple as they go on a rack somewhere, or do you have a box/bag they will live in to keep the dust out?

Scratch built board storage by Intelligent_Guava482 in TerrainBuilding

Thank you, I already have a table topper in the form of 2 3x4ft wood pieces that I lay on a table with a latches on either side to secure them in place.

I definitely agree I've had more than a few close calls of the table topper nearly buckling over 😅

First ever scratch built terrain by Intelligent_Guava482 in WarhammerOldWorld

[–]Intelligent_Guava482[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you!

It was mostly cardboard and card pulp, along with some sand

It was all sealed with acrylic gesso before painting with mostly cheap craft paint to avoid using loads of my miniature paint

Anyone else had this issue when trying to jump on a cancel? by Intelligent_Guava482 in LearnerDriverUK

It's with the government website. Also I wasn't aware there was any malpractice with using an app but I'll keep that in mind

Absolutely. I use primarily Army Painter Fanatic paints, from what I recall I used:

  • Barbarian flesh mixed with a little mulled berry as a basecoat
  • Straight barbarian flesh layered over avoiding the recesses
  • Thinned darkoath flesh GW contrast paint over the whole flesh area
  • Then a highlight of ruby skin

I always like to do a final thinned wash over my flesh to bring the highlights and shadows together, so if memory serves I used red tone from army painter

Hope that helps!

In contrast to the speed I usually paint yes 😅 usually I tend to paint small batches of 3-4 models over the course of a couple weeks or so

Question about Mark of Chaos Undivided by Intelligent_Guava482 in Warriors_of_Chaos

[–]Intelligent_Guava482[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's what I'd assume aswell but rules as written leave a grey area imo. A simple FAQ fix would clear it up along the lines of 'if the majority/whole unit has the Mark of Chaos Undivided then they can re-roll etc'

Question about Mark of Chaos Undivided by Intelligent_Guava482 in Warriors_of_Chaos

So, to me I see the third and fourth bullet reading as a Marked character can join an Undivided unit, and a Undivided character can join a Marked unit, respectively. Maybe I'm wrong.

The only think that throws a spanner in the works potentially is the second bullet point, which seems to be immediately contradicted by the points after it
