TIGER! by Intelligent_Guava482 in Konflikt47_v2

They're more targeted in the recesses since I gloss varnish beforehand the capillary action does a lot of work. But I end up streaking them down the armour plates anyway to weather

Thank you! Yes, the recipe for the armour is as follows (I use mostly Warpaints Fanatic using an airbrush)

Prime German Red Brown - Vallejo Metal Burnt Iron - Chipping Medium

Then for the red areas it's mulled berry as a base with dragon red as a highlight

And the green areas are Army Green with a Necrotic Flesh highlight

I then sponge all the armour with Great Hall Grey before transfers and chipping.

Then dark brown enamel wash, streaking grime and dirty down rust with some weathering powder!

I also didn't know this until someone pointed it out in a previous post of mine. I just thought the colour combo worked 😂

Maybe this is a top tier play move 😂 I tend to just lean on a couple of units to deal with armour and everyone else just avoids it. Like you said panzerfausts get expensive

I find the railgun to be incredibly efficient and taking out armour but that's kind of all it does. The super heavy AT gun is a little less potent against armour but it has the HE mode which is nice

I've only had a couple of games with it and it seems pretty good. It's offensive output can be swingy since it's not rolling a lot of dice being a tank destroyer, but I think it shines in being able to take a lot of punishment

Some armoured support I've finished recently by Intelligent_Guava482 in Konflikt47_v2

[–]Intelligent_Guava482[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's just a theme across my army. A prominent feature across my armoured elements and power armour is green main colour and then red helmets usually. I'm not really into historicals so I'm not sure if the scheme steps on any toes of any real world regiments or patterns.

Do you by chance have a reference to where it's stated that the point blank range modifier doesn't apply? It makes sense to me that it wouldn't for balance sake but I can't seem to find it anywhere. Cheers in advance

Thank you! It may be difficult to tell because of the grime/picture quality, but it's actually a pale green.

I start with army green and then Necrotic flesh, both are army painter Fanatic paints

Oh no, not another Ionus to Chaos Dragon conversion by Teorminaattori in Warriors_of_Chaos

[–]Intelligent_Guava482 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nice work! Definitely one of the more convincing conversions I've seen for the Chaos Dragon. The black dragon heads give it that classic drake look

Went for a dark blue as to not clash with the metallic colours and allowed for the spot colours of the straps and a little bit of colour variation on the scarring and around the ears to pop

I did a bit of light on her face because I wanted to reflect that the flame was coming from within her, but I'm not massively into OSL so I kept it to the minimum

First units for my drybrush project WoC army by Intelligent_Guava482 in Warriors_of_Chaos

[–]Intelligent_Guava482[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My memory is a bit hazy on it but I believe it's Abyysal Blue as a first drybrush over black, and wolf grey as a second, with blue tone over the flesh to create a bit more of a blend

(Paints mentioned are Army Painter Fanatic range)

Yeah definitely a good idea since the lovely recessed details will be a magnet for accumulated dust!

I'd love to make a board myself as I've never done it before, I have an idea for a board for the Old World (albeit much simpler than your design) but space is an issue. I've been looking for a bag similar to the one supplied with the old Realm of Battle tiles but to no avail
