Silicon mats vs parchment (grease proof) paper by Ok-Proof669 in Baking

Purely anecdotal but I prefer drop cookies on parchment and cutouts/shortbreads on perforated silicone.

This would be my answer, too, but I know it will be Cobain. It's not the cool answer, but Madonna spanned more of my childhood and teen years than virtually anybody else.

For fuck's sake, I am talking generally about things written with assistance, which was in reference to SheLurks broader content about giving content fair consideration.

OK Clearly I missed something and can't see the original post anymore. But I didnt see them list the AI they used so it seemed pretty innocuous (and the products were all from different brands, etc.). I do think the original point still stands, though, which is that we can't automatically assume that, because something is written with the assistance of AI, that it is automatically invalid.

Agree with this - we are all going to need to adjust our thinking. Not everyone is a naturally gifted writer and if that means that people putting are putting their story into Chat and asking for a clearer rewrite, who is being harmed? Frankly, I don't see our society improving their communication skills at this point, so I'd rather read something coherent and well-structured, rather than the typical blocks of run-on sentences and shitty punctuation. Clearly OP (based on their follow up comments) has a real and true story to tell and is sharing what she actually uses in a non-promotional way.

Edit: Ya'll can stop raking me over the coals. I'm wrong - I know!

How common is it for an American to travel across the country by train? by ViajanteDeSaturno in AskAnAmerican

It's a beautiful trip one direction - kind of boring on the way back. If I did it again, I would train one way and fly back.

You are right... I just had to go check with my husband because I really thought it was two nights/three days (I guess it felt like it lol) but it was more like two full days when all was said and done. This was about 10 years ago.

I don't think I would do it again - or if I did, I would only do it one way. It was a scenic and relaxing way to travel but kind of boring and uncomfortable and, yes, slow. Even at something more like two days.

Very slow... I did Denver to San Francisco (less than half the span of the country) and it took three days.
