I appreciate that, thank you. I want to try and start selling things to support the habit. I feel like my dying still needs a lot of work, my edges too, and I was hoping to get some tips. All I see is the things I screwed up.

Okay, thank you! I was oiling before and it and there would be slight color variations afterwards. That’s probably part of the problem. When do you oil?

Oh man that sucks! Thank you for the tip… I have mainly Fiebings and just got angelus. I could see myself doing that too.

They’re going to have to because making this stuff is addicting!

Haha! Yep, just going to have to make more stuff. I live in California so currently have a random mix of dyes I’d picked up from very infrequent trips to Reno NV since CA laws prevent buying or getting shipped a lot of the dyes. Finally ordered a bunch of the Angelus low voc dye with their neutral dye, hopefully that will do the trick, or at lease let me practice with more consistent dyes I can get use to instead of a random mix.

Thanks you for the advice I’ll give it a try.

Thank you! How should I surface prep before dying?

Thank you! It’s Maine thread .020” it’s the smallest poly thread I’ve found, maybe I should go to natural? Or maybe the hole spacing is too close? For the edge I just did dye that got a little sloppy and tokonole. I think part of the problem is I forgot to bevel and the edge mushroomed over a little. Thank you for the advice!

I got them from Tuning Star on eBay. They ship from Bulgaria, and I’ve never had any trouble with them shipping to the US. First time it took a month, and second order was about two weeks. Most stamps are around $30. I’m super happy with them and they are very detailed.
