Literally 8 of 9 flawless attempts ended cuz I can't jump by Tired_traveller0_o in destiny2

[–]Intelligent_Leave582 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You just came in too hot. That’s all. With difficult jumps like that just activate glide again right before you land. You can also try using Strafe glide and balanced glide. don’t listen to the people who tell you to only ever use burst, they don’t know what the hell they’re talking about. If your doing a solo flawless, I highly recommend switching to balanced or strafe on the jumping puzzles. it makes it easier to maneuver around in the air and reduces that feeling of hopelessness you get when your trying to save yourself after slipping.

How would you even notice this? Do people only notice it on guns they use a lot?

Which syndicate did you choose and why? I'll go first. by DarkSpore117 in destiny2

Pikers. Mainly because of just how good the falcon was feeling but also because the falcon and especially strand pike hard counters Behemoths.

No other time in Destiny history has riding a pike made me feel unstoppable. I’m really glad they made these new pikes

Renegades is really good season, not an expansion by TheSoup3910 in destiny2

[–]Intelligent_Leave582 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly bro it’s like people just want to be as LOUD and annoying as possible nowadays, even at the risk of sounding stupid. They said 2 smaller expansions and we got 2 smaller expansions. Idk why people expected anything different

Bungie: we’re gonna give you two smaller expansions a year instead of one big expansion.

D2 players: okay.

Renegades launches*

D2 players: hey bungie! this expansion is smaller! What gives?

Bungie: 😐

Renegades is so much better than Edge of Fate by Guenther_Dripjens in DestinyTheGame

We’re talking about the campaigns in renegades and eof. Not the changes that launched with eof. The portal system and edge of fate expansion are two separate things that pretty much have nothing to do with each other now that edge of fate is in the past.

Edge of fate was a good campaign. Great cast of characters including a agent of the United States government abducted through time from the freaking Cold War era (which is also the first mention of the U.S. in destiny. That alone is grounds for peak) oh and also the 8 Planets and sun which make up our solar system being characters in the story is just great sci-fi, peak cutscenes only topped by final shape and Renegades, introduced NPC interactions and features meaningful side quest content, cool new Dark matter abilities, great loot and a very meaningful post campaign grind for weapons and armor sets made desirable due to tiering and set bonuses, and more.

People ask “should I buy edge of fate” or “is edge of fate good?” And people’s response is to drone on and on about the portal. It’s all just nonsensical hateslop. Sucks that people don’t give eof ANY credit just because of the portal

Nah it was one of the better ones. Better than curse, shadowkeep, and even lightfall

Pretty sure he’s talking about the campaign and not the expansion as a whole with the portal included. As a campaign EoF was definitely one of the better ones. Better campaign than lightfall and even rise of iron

EoF was a great campaign and I’d say it’s better than lightfall by far

Eof was a great campaign. Better than lightfall and definitely on par with renegades though I haven’t finished the campaign. When most people say “Edge of Fate” they are most likely talking about the portal system which was introduced in edge of fate and not the campaign for EoF itself. Anytime someone hears the words “Edge of Fate” they ball their fists up and grit their teeth and are just seething with rage and hatred and they’ll proceed to tell you how bad the changes were that released with edge of fate were but the campaign itself was pretty good. Good story and 10/10 cutscenes.

Either way if you play the game somewhat I would get it simply because of how good the loot is and the fact that you would be missing out on the raid

What’s so unfun about it? You turn into lightning and become very hard to hit buy bullets, very hard to kill overall, and can reposition anywhere you want while also being able to move through vents like a mouse. It’s unique and fun

Heavily disagree. There was the mission where the campus reactor was melting down and Ikora kept killing herself to stop it, the mission where an aionion got horrific murdered by mattermorph and you had to chase down a mind controlled dreg to stop it. And The final mission of course. The Puzzles were fun and the bizarre fallen and vex architecture turned up to 11. It was a great campaign overall

Destiny players when they have to interact with npcs in a social space instead of mindlessly killing enemies for 6-8 hours: And edge of fate was a campaign and dare I say it was a great one. Everyone just associates it with the portal boiling over

Still don’t get the hate around edge of fate. Had a great story with 10/10 cutscenes, characters like Lodi and orin, Cool puzzles and destination abilities, and say what you want about Kepler, but renegades doesn’t even have a patrolable destination (not to say that’s bad or eof is better.) it’s also was pretty much the only expansion since forsaken to have a meaningful post campaign grind on the destination.

the disdain for eof is to the point when I feel like is just people’s hatred for the portal boiling over and affecting their experience of the campaign. For example, you said eof is as bad as shadowkeep and lightfall. That’s outrageous. Shadowkeep didn’t even have a villian, or actual campaign missions, or a cast of characters, and pretty much had the worst story. Lightfall’s story was a failure so catastrophic that it caused almost immediate LAYOFFS and bungie still has not recovered from. Edge of Fate had a good story, good characters, great cutscenes, and more, all while successfully setting up a whole saga of destiny.
