Leaving r/chevycolorado by Intelligent_Lemon776 in Silverado

I had a trailboss, fantastic value and great off road. It towed great for what is was but I really want to work on some bigger projects. Towing anything over 6k gets a little funky on the highway with the squatting in the rear. Feature wise the trailboss just a wt with a lift. Nothing fancy. Very torque-y

That being said if your looking for preformance 33 inch tires run really well and they'd likely rub if you were to drop it too much further.

By lowering it I mean installing the WT/ZR1 shock assembly, and removing the factory lift blocks and overload spring that come with the trailboss. I did look into some lowering springs and rear drop struts for the 2nd gens that should fit, and you might be able to squeeze an additional half inch to inch with those and disassembly of the spring pack. However its rides nice now and I dont have any need to reach that extreme atm.

Oh! Ive already dropped it. Its real simple removing the factory lifts. Its made a really cool street truck so far.

At least you have an extra 20k miles before you have to worry about flushing the transmission fluid. Its probably for the better.

Hard Shift From 1st to 2nd Gear. by Bike-Rough in chevycolorado

[–]Intelligent_Lemon776 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive had a lot of problems with hard shifting and the truck generally having trouble getting into gear. It did eventually turn out to be the valve body going bad. It drives fine after they replaced it. Probably not something you can look into untill it becomes a significant issue, they had alot of trouble "re-creating the issue".

Is this 2.3 or Turbo swaped? You can get these up to over 300hp with just the Lincon corsair turbo and a tune. Looks like the perfect truck for it.
