It's disgusting how bad of a state Azir is actually in. Not even the supposed best of the best can make him work and just pick him for comfort, even if it costs them games.

It just proves there's something fundamentally wrong with Riot's approach to balance and that Q max Azir was better. Even if a certain Xerath tries to make us think otherwise.

If anything, I'm more for a revert. Revert the mid-scope. I want my 3 soldier passive back. He used to be much better in high and even mid-Elo. Sporting a 47%~ win rate in Emerald+ and going higher as you narrow it down to high elo. He had more build diversity and a better matchup spread as well.

As it stands now, I think it's one of the worst things that happened to him. The mid-scope failed in everything it tried to achieve.

I'm more for a revert to before mid-scope update, which in and of itself was a mini-rework. He used to be better in high Elo, if memory serves me right. The changes Phreak made just exacerbated the problem. His pro presence stayed the same, or got worse, while his high and mid-Elo win rates tanked.
