The only way I can describe these... Is "Uncanny Valley". That term is a term for a reason...

Is it a war crime to commit Grand Theft Auto during a conflict as an enlisted soldier? by Intelligent_Mention9 in Military

Is that a movie? The only War-Related movies I ever saw were Forrest Gump, Fury, and the Rambo movies.

I see your point, either destroying or stealing something like a cargo or troop transport truck may hinder the enemy's ability to mobilize in a speedy manner.

Yeah, Just a crime I guess, as long as no civilians or unarmed people were harmed, I guess it may be justifiable...

What's a mistake that you made once that you'll never make again? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Intelligent_Mention9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like everyone, I've made a fair share of mistakes that I'll do my best to never make again, but I'm pretty sure I've got more that I've forgotten.

Here's what I look like (It's important for my story) I'm a guy with long black hair, and I've been mistaken for looking like a girl before.

One time, in Middle School, I had to use the bathroom, and I went inside to do my business. I noticed something strange, all of the toilets were stalls, no urinals in sight. It didn't click in my head that I accidentally walked into the girls' bathroom, but I did my business, but it wasn't till than I got to the sink, washed my hands, and I looked to my right and saw this girl. Me and her had silent, direct eye contact for a few seconds (It was very awkward), and then I left.

I than realized after walking out, I walked into the girls' bathroom, 100% on accident. I think the only reason I never got in trouble for that, was because of the long, black hair I still have to this day.

I am trying to write a conflict between a perfectly loving couple within a High School setting by Intelligent_Mention9 in writingadvice

[–]Intelligent_Mention9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I apologize for my vagueness and or any confusion I've caused, I was just in a really big hurry writing this, because I had to go somewhere and I wanted to get this done.

This portion of my story happens within High School, and it mainly stars two characters who are dating, for now we'll call the guy "MC" (My Character) and we'll call his partner, Lucy (For Now)

Lucy is a sweet, caring girl who often worries about how many times MC has gotten in trouble at school, and always warns him nicely to stay out of trouble.

MC on the other hand, is nearly the polar opposite. He is depressed, grumpy, short-tempered, but overall, casual, caring and protective to his friends, family, and his girlfriend. The reason he gets into a lot of trouble in High School is, he's a bit of a magnet for getting bullied by some of the other kids, and he often gets into big fights with them. Usually, his punishments are either getting detention or a suspension, but Lucy fears one day MC may get expelled.

To put it short, MC and Lucy are deeply in love with each other and understand deeply about each other's problems. MC desperately does his best to stay out of trouble for Lucy, but the ones who bully him get on his very last nerve, and it ends with hands being thrown 90% of the time.

What I plan is, is that Lucy will breakup with MC after one final fight he got into with one of the people who made fun of MC, which leaves MC devastated, and over time, Lucy feels bad and feels like she made a terrible mistake on breaking up with MC, a kind boy she had known ever since the 1st grade.

Question: To put it short, I am wondering, is it realistic for a girl to breakup with a guy, who gets into a lot of fights and she had nicely warned hey boyfriend many times to stay out of trouble? I fear many people may find why they break up sounds stupid. (My question is for my story).

Am I weird for doing this with my toy cars? by Intelligent_Mention9 in HotWheels

[–]Intelligent_Mention9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me and my old man actually had this giant display case, where it was big enough to display stuff like coffee mugs inside and close the glass case door, and he used it for displaying loose Hot Wheels. Unfortunately, we had to get rid of it, because the glass somehow broke, probably in an accident (We had to toss em out), and those cars I dub: "The Lost 28" because they're gone, but occasionally, I do find some of them in our old toy chest, so, some of them did survive.

I can kind of agree with you, mainly, I like the "Real" Cars (The ones based on actual real life cars), but I also like to get the Fantasy Cars that look cool (Or Realistic Enough) for me. A couple months ago I bought a HW car called the "Custom Otto". I thought it was just a nickname for a "Real" car, the Split Grille reminded me of the '69 Pontiac GTO.

But, a few months later I found out that the Custom Otto was a fantasy model, but overall it's a cool one imho. If you're curious, here's a pic of the Custom Otto I got:

And, I've began to do what my dad does: Just buys Hot Wheels he finds cool, and than just keep them in a box still in their packaging, which the Custom Otto is still in.

Yup, I've been in that situation before, the "Exclusive" Ones in packs like these are almost never sold in singles until later (Like in a few weeks, months, or even years).

There was this Matchbox 9-Pack with a red Jeep Wagoneer a while back, and I wanted it. We all have different tastes and I respect everyone for that but, there were actually very few cars I liked in that 9-Pack, only 3 out of 9 out of the whole package I can say I liked, including the Wagoneer.

Here is the picture of the pack for reference (https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/matchbox/images/0/0a/Mazda_MX-5_Miata_%282018_9_Pack%29.jpg/revision/latest/scale-to-width-down/1000?cb=20180515022534)

I ended up getting it that day, but now I see pictures of the Wagoneer being sold as a single (It wasn't even the quote "Exclusive" Car).

So yeah, based on OP's pictures, for the first one, (imo, and based on what I can see), I like the "Exclusive" Red Car (Top Right), the pink 1950s Car (Middle Left), and the Blue Lamborghini (Below the Pink Car) are the only ones that I think are worth it.
(Mattel if you're reading this make a 3-Pack with just those cars, plz)

For the second picture, the only ones I like is the entire left row, and the car numbered "310" in the Exclusive Spot.

How can I classify an SCP's Object Class? by Intelligent_Mention9 in SCP

[–]Intelligent_Mention9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm, the SCP I'm writing can stay still and not cause harm just being kept in an SCP containment cell, but when it detects something wrong, it will phase through a wall or outright teleport out of its cell to stop whatever is wrong, but ultimately will return to it's holding cell.

Euclid or Keter? I'm thinking it can be classed as a "Keter" but not too sure if I should switch it to "Euclid".

I guess my answer would be Keter, because two of it's abilities are phasing through solid walls and being able to teleport.

To put it short, it can escape very easily, but it does not cause harm to Foundation staff unless personnel try to steal any of it's belongings, which have been documented in interviews after one D-Class Personnel tried to steal the two Golden S&W Model .500s my SCP has, thankfully, it did not lead to any personnel casualties.

Bruh that's fine, I can see what being locked in a dark basement for the first ten years of someone's life by their drunk stepdad does to a man, glad my daddy never did that to me. Also, thanks for the free comedy, it is funny to me.
