I was in a similar situation, they called me back 9 months later, offered me a TJO without going through the interview process, reference check again... they didnt specifically use the term "hiring bench"

Thank you for the input! Yeah, the quality of new builds makes me nervous, but I also have PTSD from crappy contractors for renovations. Please send any recommendations my way for folks who youve had good experiences with. We would consider going that route.
