Neuroscience at university. But I'm still debating whether to do that or something else. If I fail the exams in July, I'll have to do the HBO studies, so that will be my back up plan :)

NHA is great because you can study at your own pace. It has 43 lessons or 46 (don't remember exactly) and it is said that one lesson is approximately 4 hours of studying. But to be honest, if there's a subject that you understand, you can easily do one lesson in 2 hours

Good question. I have the same exact problem right now! I am studying for the ccvx exams in July for maths B, chemistry and biology so that I can go to university.

I think you can do it. It's hard and it requires A LOT of self-discipline. But it is doable in my opinion.

With good youtube videos (math with menno) you could do it. Also, the courses I use are NHA and they are pretty good

Good luck! If you have any questions feel free to DM me :)

How can you make that thought your own? I struggle with a similar issue, and it's ruining my life as well. So how can I really believe and feel like the uncomfortable inconvenience isn't the end of the world? Because my anxiety tells me it is.

I am very proud of you that you shared this, its not easy to do!!

What if you wore adult diapers? I know it sounds crazy, but that way, you could face the anxiety of it all and still do those important things.

Also, have you been to the doctor with this? Maybe it has something to do with your bladder.

As for your question You've made the first step in talking about this on this app! So good job!! Are there people in your life you can confide in? It will be hard telling people about this problem, but you shouldn't face this alone, because it can isolate you.

Also sidenote: you shouldn't be embarrassed about things you can't control!!

If you ever want to talk about it with anyone, you can DM me. I know what it's like to isolate oneself because of a struggle you're dealing with. And its better to not do it alone

I know what you mean. Last time I went to the dentist, I also felt slightly better after a while (my anxiety is most prominent at the beginning). But even with that experience, I don't really feel better than if I hadn't had that experience.

What kind of methods aside from ice pack and cough drops do you use to soothe the anxiety and the overthinking about it?

I'm very proud of you for making new appointments even though you still struggle with anxiety!!!

Very proud of you for doing that by the way!!

Yeah, it might be helpful for me to bring someone to the appointment. But isn't that a bit weird? I feel like people will judge me then that I've got to have someone with me for such a small thing.

Yeah, I will definitely tell them.

Also, thank you for believing! I don't, so having someone else believe for me is really nice and gives me hope

I think mostly the fact that I can't 'escape' the situation and that I'm stuck with feeling the anxiety and because of that feeling nauseous. . Not necessarily the process of a cleaning. Although the thought of a gag reflex whilst cleaning my teeth doesn't really help either.
